What Is Calling With Your Existing Phone Number?

Calling with your existing phone number lets you use a phone number you already own for outbound voice calls. This option is designed for faster calling setup. It is not the same as porting your number into Kyrios.

Where to Manage Phone Numbers

Go to Settings > Phone System. Use the Phone numbers tab to manage phone numbers, number pools, and verified caller IDs.


Connect a Phone Number

When prompted, choose how you want to connect a phone number. Select Use your existing phone number to verify a number you already own for outbound calling.

Select Buy phone number if you want a Kyrios-managed number for outbound and inbound calling.


Verify Your Existing Number

Enter the phone number you already own. Kyrios may call the number to confirm ownership. Answer the verification call and complete the verification step shown on screen.


Caller ID Verification Complete

After verification, the caller ID can be used for calling. You may be able to call yourself immediately. To call other contacts, Kyrios may require identity verification first.


Place an Outbound Call

After the number is verified, open the dialer and place an outbound call. The call summary shows the call status, duration, and available call disposition options.

If prompted, complete identity verification to call contacts.

Using an existing phone number is mainly for outbound voice calling. This option does not replace a full Kyrios-managed phone setup. Inbound calling, SMS, routing, and advanced phone configuration may require a Kyrios-managed number, forwarding setup, or number porting. Voice usage charges may still apply even if you do not purchase a Kyrios phone number.


How to Set Up Calling With Your Existing Phone Number

  1. Open the correct account.

  2. Go to Settings > Phone System.

  3. Choose the option to connect a phone number.

  4. Select Use your existing phone number.

  5. Enter the phone number you own.

  6. Complete the verification steps.

  7. Open the dialer.

  8. Select the verified number as the caller ID if prompted.

  9. Enter or select the contact number.

  10. Place the call.

I cannot call contacts

Complete any required identity verification before calling contacts.

I can only make outbound calls

Existing phone number calling is for outbound calling. Use a Kyrios-managed number or a ported number for fuller phone system functionality.
