Smart Send for Email Marketing Campaigns

Smart Send recommends the best delivery time for a regular email campaign based on recent email engagement in the account.

What Smart Send Does

Smart Send analyzes recent email engagement and recommends one send time for the campaign. Kyrios uses recent email activity, such as opens, clicks, and engagement patterns, to identify a time that is more likely to perform well. Smart Send is selected from the Send or Schedule screen.

Eligibility Requirements

Smart Send requires enough recent email data before it can recommend a send time. The account must have at least 1,000 delivered emails in the last 60 days.

Smart Send is currently for regular email campaigns created from Marketing → Emails → Campaigns. A/B campaign support and batch campaign support are not currently available.

How Smart Send Chooses a Time

Smart Send reviews the last 60 days of email engagement for the account.

It considers:

  1. Open activity by hour.

  2. Click activity by hour.

  3. Historical engagement patterns.

  4. Time windows with enough data for a reliable recommendation.

If Kyrios does not have enough data for a specific time window, Smart Send expands the window until it can make a stronger recommendation.

How to Create a Smart Send Campaign

Go to Marketing → Emails.

Open the Campaigns tab, then click New.

Design the email in the Email Builder, then click Send or Schedule.

Select Smart Send as the delivery option.

Complete the required sender, subject, recipient, and campaign fields.


How to Review or Change the Recommendation

After the required fields are completed, Kyrios displays the recommended Smart Send time. You can use the recommendation, request another suggestion, or choose a date manually.

Use the Send On day buttons to limit Smart Send to specific days of the week.


How to Review Smart Send Results

After the campaign sends, go to Marketing → Emails and open the campaign statistics. The campaign report includes a Smart Send Impact section showing performance lift compared with the account average.


Common Issues and Fixes

Smart Send is unavailable

Smart Send may be unavailable if the account has not delivered at least 1,000 emails in the last 60 days. Use a standard scheduled send until the account has enough email history.

Smart Send does not show a recommendation

Smart Send needs the required campaign fields before it can calculate a recommendation. Check the required fields panel, complete missing fields, then try again.

I want to choose my own time

Use I’ll Choose a Date to manually select the campaign send date and time instead of using the Smart Send recommendation.

What happens if my account has not sent 1,000 emails in the last 60 days?

Smart Send will not be available until the account has enough recent email delivery data.

Does Smart Send use each contact’s time zone?

Smart Send optimizes at the account level. It does not currently optimize separately for each contact’s time zone.

Can I override the Smart Send recommendation?

Yes. You can choose a custom date and time instead of using the recommendation.

Does Smart Send work with A/B campaigns?

No. Smart Send is currently for regular email campaigns only.

Does Smart Send work with batch campaigns?

No. Batch campaign support is not currently available.

Is Smart Send available through the API?

No. Smart Send API access is not currently available.
