Use Advanced Conditions when:

  • You schedule campaigns ahead of time

  • Your Smart Lists or Tags update frequently

  • You want zero manual list maintenance before sending

Important Limitation

Advanced Conditions only work with the following Email Campaign types:

  • Scheduled campaigns

  • Batch campaigns

  • RSS Email campaigns

Advanced Conditions do not apply to immediate sends.

How to Use Advanced Conditions for Smart Lists

Step 1: Create a New Campaign

Create a new email campaign using a pre-built template.

Path:
Marketing → Emails → Campaigns

Step 2: Edit Contact Details

  • Build your email content

  • Click Send and Schedule once finished

Step 3: Access Advanced Conditions

  • Navigate to the Recipients tab

  • Select Smart List

  • Choose the Smart List you want to target

Step 4: Apply Advanced Conditions

  • Locate the Advanced Conditions field

  • Select the appropriate option to include newly added contacts

This ensures contacts added after scheduling are included at send time.

Example: Smart List Behavior

  • Smart List “Marketing” has 100 contacts when scheduled

  • 30 contacts are added before send time

  • 130 contacts receive the email at send time

How to Use Advanced Conditions for Tags

Step 1: Create a New Campaign

Start a new campaign using a pre-built email template.

Step 2: Design Campaign Content

Edit and finalize your email content.

Step 3: Select Tags for Recipients

  • Click Send and Schedule

  • Open the Recipients tab

  • Select Tags as the recipient type

Tags must already exist.

Tag creation path:
Settings → Tags

Additional options:

  • Pre-built Segments: Select existing segments

  • Build Segments: Create a custom segment inside the campaign

Step 4: Apply Advanced Conditions

  • Enable Advanced Conditions

  • Newly tagged contacts added after scheduling are included automatically

Example: Tag Behavior

  • Tag “Digital” has 1,000 contacts when scheduled

  • 40 contacts receive the tag before send time

  • 1,040 contacts receive the email

How to Enable Automated Tagging

  • On the Send or Schedule screen, enable Add Tags

  • Click Add Conditions

Step 1: Choose Interaction Type

Select an interaction such as:

  • Email opened

  • Link clicked

  • Unsubscribed

Important:
For Contact clicked on a link, Track Clicks must be enabled.

Step 2: Define Tag Actions

  • Specify which tag(s) to apply

  • Use existing tags or create new ones

  • Open Campaign Stats

  • Click Tags

  • Select View Contacts to see who was tagged
