Who This Is For / When to Use

  • Marketers sending broadcast or scheduled email campaigns.

  • Teams who want to target engaged or disengaged contacts quickly.

  • Accounts that need consistent, behavior-based segmentation without manual upkeep.

What Are Pre-Built Contact Segments

Pre-Built Contact Segments are predefined recipient groups based on how contacts interact with your email campaigns.

These segments are created and maintained automatically by Kyrios. You cannot edit their logic.

Segmentation is evaluated at the time of scheduling, not during campaign execution.

Available Pre-Built Segments

Each option appears in the Recipient (To) section when sending or scheduling an email campaign.

Engagement-Based Segments

  • Contacts engaged in last 7 days

  • Contacts engaged in last 30 days

  • Contacts engaged in last 60 days

A contact is included if they opened or clicked an email within the selected timeframe.

Campaign Interaction Segments

  • Subscribers engaged in last 5 campaigns

  • Subscribers unengaged in last 5 campaigns

These segments evaluate engagement across your most recent email campaigns.

How Kyrios Handles Multiple Segments

  • Contacts are automatically deduplicated.

  • A contact included in multiple selected segments receives only one email.

  • Segments are merged using OR logic (any matching segment qualifies).

Important Behavior Notes

  • New contacts will not appear in engagement-based segments until they open or click an email.

  • Imported or manually added contacts must engage first to qualify.

  • Segment membership does not update after scheduling.

Common Issues and Fixes

Contacts Missing From a Segment

Cause: The contact has not opened or clicked an email yet.
Fix: Send an initial campaign or workflow email to generate engagement.

Segment Counts Look Outdated

Cause: Segments only refresh at scheduling time.
Fix: Reopen the campaign and reschedule to recalculate recipients.
