What Trigger Links Are
Trigger Links are predefined links that initiate an automation or action when a contact clicks them.
Key characteristics:
Trigger Links are unique URLs generated by Kyrios.
They work only as full URLs.
Trigger Links cannot be shortened.
Trigger Links must be placed in the SMS text body.
Option 1: Use Trigger Links in a Conversation (1:1 SMS)
Use this method when manually texting a contact from the Conversations inbox.
Steps
Go to Conversations.
Search for and open the contact you want to message.
Select the SMS channel.
Click the Trigger Links icon in the message composer.
βChoose the Trigger Link you want to insert.
Type or edit the surrounding message text.
Send the SMS.
Once sent, the Trigger Link placeholder is automatically replaced with the full clickable link.
Option 2: Use Trigger Links in a Workflow SMS Action
Use this method when sending automated SMS messages.
Steps
Go to Automations and open the workflow.
Add or edit an SMS action.
Click inside the message editor.
Select the Trigger Links option.
Choose the Trigger Link you want to use.
Save the SMS action.
Publish the workflow.
The Trigger Link will resolve to a full URL when the SMS is sent.
Option 3: Use Trigger Links in an SMS Template
Use this method when creating reusable SMS templates.
Steps
Go to Marketing.
Click Templates.
Select Add Text Template.
In the editor, click the Trigger Links option.
βSelect the Trigger Link you want to insert.
Save the template.
The Trigger Link will populate automatically when the template is used.
Embedding a Trigger Link as Clickable Text
Trigger Links can be embedded behind custom text instead of displaying the raw URL.
Steps
Click the Link or Embed Link option.
Select Trigger Link as the link type.
Choose the Trigger Link from the dropdown.
Enter the visible link text.
Save the link.
