Who This Is For / When to Use
This guide is for users who:
Send emails or SMS from Kyrios.
Need a compliant, automated unsubscribe process.
Want to control unsubscribe behavior using workflows instead of manual updates.
Want to optionally allow contacts to resubscribe after unsubscribing.
How Unsubscribe Trigger Links Work
An Unsubscribe Trigger Link is a special tracked link that:
Redirects the contact to a page you control (for example, an unsubscribe confirmation page).
Triggers a workflow when clicked.
Automatically applies Do Not Disturb (DND) to the contact through workflow actions.
Step 1: Create an Unsubscribe Funnel Page
Go to Websites, Funnels & Marketing > Funnels & Websites.
Open the funnel you want to use.
Add a new funnel step named Unsubscribe.
Set the page path (for example:
/unsubscribe).Click Edit to open the page builder.
Add a simple confirmation message such as:
“You’ve been successfully unsubscribed.”
Save the page.
Copy the full page URL from your browser.
Important:
If a custom domain is not configured, configure one before continuing.
Step 2: Create a Trigger Link
Go to Marketing > Trigger Links.
Click Add Link.
Enter:
Name: Unsubscribe
Link URL: Paste the Unsubscribe funnel page URL.
Click Save.
Step 3: Create the Unsubscribe Workflow
Go to Automations & Workflows > Workflows.
Click Create Workflow.
Select Start from Scratch.
Step 4: Add the Workflow Trigger
Click Add Trigger.
Select Trigger Link Clicked.
Set the filter:
Trigger link → Unsubscribe
Save the trigger.
Step 5: Enable Do Not Disturb (DND)
Click the + icon below the trigger.

Choose one option:
Enable DND for all channels, or
Enable DND for specific channels only (Email or SMS).
Save the action.
Step 6: Publish the Workflow
Review the trigger and action.
Click Publish.
Once published, any contact clicking the unsubscribe trigger link will immediately have DND enabled.
Step 7: Add the Unsubscribe Link to Email or SMS
Open the email or SMS editor (campaign, workflow, or one-off message).
Add text such as “Click here to unsubscribe.”
Highlight the text and click the link icon.
Paste the Trigger Link URL.
Optional:
Use the Trigger Links icon in the editor to auto-insert the correct trigger link.
Optional: Allow Contacts to Resubscribe
After unsubscribing, contacts can resubscribe using the automatic resubscribe link shown on the unsubscribe success screen.
How Resubscribe Works
Clicking the resubscribe link removes the contact from DND.
The contact becomes eligible to receive messages again.
Campaign analytics may still show the original unsubscribe event.
How to Verify DND Status
Open the contact record.
Go to the DND section.
Confirm DND was enabled by workflow.
Common Issues and Fixes
Workflow Does Not Trigger
Confirm the Trigger Link used in the message matches the one selected in the workflow trigger.
Ensure the workflow is published.
Contact Still Receives Messages
Verify DND is enabled for the correct channel (Email vs SMS).
Check for other workflows re-enabling DND unintentionally.
User Re-Opted In but Still Shows as Unsubscribed
Campaign statistics may still reflect the original unsubscribe.
The contact will still be removed from DND and receive future messages.
