What WhatsApp Template Folders Do
WhatsApp Template Folders replace a flat template list with a customizable folder structure. You can:
Create folders for different campaigns, departments, audiences, or use cases.
Create folders inside other folders.
Move existing templates into folders.
Move existing folders into other folders.
Use breadcrumb navigation to identify your current folder location.
Create additional folders as your template library changes.
Moving a template into a folder changes its organization only. It does not change the template's approval or delivery status.
Open WhatsApp Template Settings
To access WhatsApp Template Folders:
In your Kyrios account, select Settings from the left navigation.
2. In Settings, select WhatsApp.
3. Select the Templates tab.
The Templates area displays your WhatsApp message templates and any folders that have already been created.
Create a Folder
To create a folder for WhatsApp templates:
Open Settings > WhatsApp > Templates.
Click Create Folder.
Enter the folder name.
Click Create.
The new folder appears in the current folder location.
Create a Folder Inside Another Folder
Folders can be nested to create multiple levels of organization. To create a folder inside an existing folder:
Open Settings > WhatsApp > Templates.
Click the folder that should contain the new folder.
Click Create Folder.
Enter the new folder name.
Click Create.
You can create multiple levels of nested folders based on your organizational needs.
Navigate Between Folders
The breadcrumb trail above the template list shows your current location in the folder structure. For example, a breadcrumb can display:
Home / Summer Promotion / 20% Off
Select a folder in the breadcrumb trail to return to that level of the hierarchy.
The Home level represents the root of the WhatsApp template library.
Move a Template Into a Folder
To move an existing WhatsApp template:
Open the folder or template list containing the template.
Locate the template you want to move.
Click the three-dot menu in the Actions column.
Select Move to Folder.
Select the destination folder.
Click Move.
Moving a template changes where it appears in the folder structure without changing the template's approval or delivery status.
Move a Folder Into Another Folder
Existing folders can be moved into other folders to reorganize the template hierarchy.
To move a folder:
Locate the folder you want to move.
Click the folder's three-dot menu in the Actions column.
Select Move Folder.
Select the destination folder.
Click Move.
The moved folder keeps its nested contents when it is placed inside the destination folder.
Find Templates and Folders
The Templates area includes a Search By Name field for locating WhatsApp templates. Folder organization can also reduce the number of templates shown at one time by separating templates into relevant groups. Use descriptive folder and template names so team members can identify the correct content quickly.
View Messages Delivered for a Template
The Messages Delivered column shows the delivered message count associated with a WhatsApp template. This lets you compare template activity directly from the Templates table without opening a separate report first.
The value is displayed next to the individual template in the template list.
View Detailed Template Reports
For templates with reporting available, click View Reports from the template row to open detailed analytics. Template reporting can include:
Messages Sent
Messages Delivered
Messages Read
Button Clicks
Reports can be filtered using a start date and end date. WhatsApp template analytics exclude messages sent to or from the EU, UK, and Japan.
View Weekly WhatsApp Delivery Metrics
The WhatsApp Business page displays account-level messaging metrics for the previous seven days. Available metrics include:
Total Messages sent (in last 7 days)
Total Messages delivered (in last 7 days)
A percentage indicator can show the relative change in delivery performance.
These metrics provide a quick view of recent WhatsApp messaging activity without requiring you to open an individual template report.
Create Folders While Reorganizing Templates
Folders can be created as your organizational structure changes. You do not need to design the complete folder hierarchy before organizing your templates. Additional folders can be added when new campaigns, departments, audiences, or template groups are introduced. This allows the WhatsApp template library to be reorganized as it grows.
Common Issues and Fixes
I cannot find a template in the current folder
The template may have been moved into another folder. Use the Search By Name field or navigate through the folder hierarchy to locate the template.
I moved a template and its status did not change
This is expected. Moving a template changes only its folder location. It does not change its WhatsApp template approval or delivery status.
I am inside a nested folder and need to return to a previous folder
Use the breadcrumb trail above the template list. Select Home to return to the root template list, or select another folder in the breadcrumb trail to return directly to that level.
I need another level of organization
Open the folder that should act as the parent folder and click Create Folder. Multiple levels of folders can be created to support more detailed organization.
