What Are Nested Folders?
Nested folders allow you to create folders inside other folders within Email Marketing.
Instead of storing all assets in one flat list, you can organize assets into logical structures such as:
Client A / Promotions / Q1 2026
Lifecycle / Onboarding / SaaS Trial
Newsletters / Weekly / Archived
This structure helps keep Campaigns, Templates, and Sequences organized and easier to locate.
How Folder Navigation Works
Nested folders use a breadcrumb path so you can track your location while navigating between folders. The breadcrumb lets you:
See your current folder location
Quickly move back to parent folders
Understand where assets are stored
This is especially useful when working with multiple folder levels.
Key Benefits of Nested Folders
Improved Organization
Group related email assets into structured folder trees instead of maintaining one large list.
Faster Navigation
Open the exact folder you need without scrolling through unrelated assets.
Scalable Structure
Build multi-level folder systems that grow with your agency or brand.
Cleaner Collaboration
Help teams understand where campaigns, templates, and sequences should be stored.
Consistent Asset Management
Use the same organizational system across Campaigns, Templates, and Sequences.
Nested Folders in Campaigns
Campaign folders help organize:
Promotional emails
Newsletter campaigns
Product launches
Client campaigns
Seasonal campaigns
Common examples:
Client A / Promotions
Client A / Newsletters

Newsletter Templates
Promotional Templates
Transactional Templates
Review Request Templates
Templates can be grouped by:
Client
Brand

This helps teams quickly locate approved designs.
Nested Folders in Sequences
Sequence folders help organize multi-step email journeys such as:
Onboarding sequences
Lead nurture flows
Webinar reminders
Cart abandonment emails
Re-engagement campaigns
Example structures:
Lifecycle / Onboarding
Webinar Funnels / Reminders
Product Launch / Follow-Up
Nested folders help separate automation journeys into cleaner structures.

Best Practices for Folder Structures
Start Simple
Begin with 1β2 folder levels before expanding.
Use Consistent Naming
Use predictable naming structures such as:
Client / Campaign Type
Lifecycle / Funnel Stage
Brand / Quarter
Avoid Excessive Folder Depth
Deep folder structures become harder to manage over time.
Mirror Structures Across Assets
Use similar structures for Campaigns, Templates, and Sequences to simplify navigation.
Review Folder Structures Regularly
Archive old assets and reorganize folders periodically.
Important Notes
Nested folders only affect organization.
They do not change:
Email sending behavior
Automations
Analytics
Reporting
Permissions
Access permissions are managed separately through user roles.

Use the global search bar to search across folders.
My folder structure feels too complicated
