How to Use the Email Builder and Its Inline Editor

Learn how to create, design, and customize emails using the Kyrios Email Builder and its Inline Editor.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this guide if you are creating or editing email templates or campaigns and need full control over layouts, elements, formatting, and visibility.


Accessing the Email Builder

  1. Navigate to Email Marketing.

  2. Select Templates.

  3. Click + New.


Understanding the Email Builder Interface

The Email Builder uses a drag-and-drop canvas with an inline, WYSIWYG editor.

Top toolbar actions include:

  • Add Elements

  • Manage Elements

  • Appearance settings

  • Save and Preview


Adding Layouts

Layouts control how content is structured inside an email.

Available layout options include:

  • 1 column

  • 2 columns

  • 3 columns

  • 4 columns

  • Split ratios (1/3–2/3, 1/4–3/4)

Drag a layout into the canvas before adding elements.


Layout Styling Options

When a layout is selected, the left panel allows you to:

  • Enable padding

  • Adjust padding values

  • Set background color

  • Switch between full width and content width

  • Adjust border radius

Default padding values:

  • Top: 10px

  • Bottom: 10px

  • Left: 20px

  • Right: 20px


Adding Elements

Click Add Elements to drag items into a layout.

Examples of available elements include:

  • Text

  • Image

  • Button

  • Logo

  • Divider

  • Social

  • Video

  • FAQ

  • Forms

  • Products

  • Code


Editing Text with the Inline Editor

Click directly on text to open the Inline Editor.

You can:

  • Select heading or paragraph type

  • Choose font family

  • Adjust font size

  • Change text color

  • Apply bold, italic, underline, strikethrough

  • Set alignment and line height

  • Add links


Adding and Editing Links

  1. Highlight text.

  2. Click the link icon.

  3. Enter URL and display text.

  4. Choose whether to open in a new window.


Working with Images

Images can be uploaded or dynamically populated using custom values.

Image settings include:

  • Image URL

  • Alt text

  • Click-through link

  • Width and height

  • Alignment

  • Padding


Buttons and Styling

Buttons support:

  • Text labels

  • Background color

  • Border radius

  • Padding

  • Alignment

Border radius allows rounded button corners.


Adding Logos

The Logo element is used for branding headers.

Options include:

  • Upload logo

  • Link destination

  • Alt text

  • Width and height


Social Media Elements

The Social element displays linked icons for platforms like:

  • Facebook

  • Instagram

  • X

  • Pinterest

  • LinkedIn

  • WhatsApp

  • Website

You can customize icons and URLs individually.


Video Element

The Video element supports hosted video links and GIF thumbnails.

Options include:

  • Video URL

  • Custom thumbnail or GIF (up to 10MB)

  • Play button size and opacity


Forms and Inline Surveys

Forms can be embedded directly inside emails.

Supported form types:

  • Scoring (1–10)

  • Like / Dislike

  • Star rating

  • Custom forms


Editing Form Settings

Form customization options include:

  • Background color

  • Icon type

  • Padding

  • Title

  • Success page URL


Conditional Visibility

Elements can be shown or hidden based on conditions.

  1. Select an element.

  2. Open the Visibility tab.

  3. Enable Conditional Sending.

  4. Set rules using supported contact fields.

Unsupported field types include multi-select fields.


Managing Elements

The Manage Elements panel shows a structured view of:

  • Sections

  • Columns

  • Elements

Use this to quickly select, reorder, or delete items.


Saving and Reusing Templates

Templates can be saved and reused across campaigns.

  1. Click Save Template.

  2. Name your template.

  3. Access saved templates from the Templates list.


Previewing and Sending Emails

Use Preview to check desktop and mobile views.

When ready:

  • Save the campaign

  • Click Send or Schedule
