What an Email Template Is (and Is Not)

An email template is a preset layout used as a foundation for future emails.
You can insert text, images, videos, and other elements into a template.

An email template is not the final email sent to contacts.

  • Templates act as layout placeholders.

  • The actual message sent to contacts is called an email campaign.

Best Practice

  • Use placeholder text and custom values in templates.

  • Add unique, personalized messaging when creating the email campaign.

How to Create a New Email Template

  1. Navigate to Marketing in the left sidebar.

  2. Select Emails at the top.

  3. Click Templates.
