Use this article if your WhatsApp Business account shows restrictions, warnings, or has been disabled and you need to understand the violation or submit an appeal.
Important Policy Information
All WhatsApp Business policy violations can be appealed within 90 days of the violation notice.
Appeals submitted after 90 days are not accepted.
Each violation includes guidance on prevention and next steps.
How to View Policy Violation Details
Step 1: Open Business Support Home
Go to Business Support Home using your Meta Business credentials.
Step 2: Access Your Accounts
Under the My accounts section, select View my accounts.
Step 3: Locate the Restricted Business Portfolio
Scroll to find the business portfolio linked to the restricted WhatsApp Business account.
The portfolio will be labeled Assets restricted.
Step 4: Open the Business Portfolio
Click the business portfolio to view its account-level details.
Step 5: Find the Restricted WhatsApp Business Account
In the WhatsApp accounts section, locate the affected account.
The status may appear as:
Account issues
Account disabled
Step 6: Review the Policy Violation
Open the Available for review tab and select the policy issue.
You will see:
A summary of the violated policy with a link to the full policy
Current restrictions applied to the account
Consequences of repeat violations
Steps to avoid future violations
Available actions to resolve the issue
Instructions to submit an appeal
How to File an Appeal and Request a Review
Step 1: Open the Policy Issue
Navigate to Available for review under Account issues and select the violation you want to appeal.
Step 2: Request a Review
Click Request review within the policy issue details.
Step 3: Select an Appeal Reason
Choose the reason that best explains why you believe the violation is incorrect or should be reconsidered.
Step 4: Add Additional Information (Optional)
Provide any extra context or clarification that may help the review team evaluate your appeal.
Step 5: Submit the Appeal
Click Submit to complete the appeal request.
Reviews typically take up to 24 hours
