Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this article if you are:

  • An agency or consultant managing ads for clients

  • Connecting a client’s Facebook (Meta) ad account to Kyrios

  • Requesting access to a client-owned Business Manager or ad account

  • Unable to see a client’s ad account when connecting Facebook in Kyrios

This process must be completed before the ad account can be selected in Kyrios.

What a Facebook Sub-Account Means

A Facebook “sub-account” typically refers to:

  • A client-owned Ad Account

  • Managed under the client’s Meta Business Manager

You do not take ownership of the client’s assets. You are requesting permission-based access.

Step 1: Create or Access Your Business Manager

If you do not already have one:

  1. Create a Business Manager account

Your Business Manager is the container that connects people, ad accounts, Pages, and partners.

Step 2: Add the Client as a Partner or Person

To collaborate securely, the client must grant you access.

Option A: Client Adds You (Recommended)

Ask the client to:

  1. Open Business Settings in their Business Manager

  2. Go to People or Partners

  3. Add your Business Manager ID or Facebook email

  4. Assign the appropriate role

This is the fastest and cleanest method.

Option B: You Request Access

If requesting access yourself:

  1. Open Business Settings in your Business Manager

  2. Go to People

  3. Click Invite People

  4. Enter the client’s Facebook email address

  5. Assign the appropriate role (Admin or Advertiser)

The client must approve this request.

Step 3: Request Access to the Ad Account

Once access to the client’s Business Manager is approved:

  1. Open Business Settings

  2. Select Ad Accounts

  3. Click Add

  4. Choose Request Access

  5. Select the client’s ad account

  6. Request Advertiser or Admin access

The client must approve this request before the account becomes usable.

Step 4: Client Confirms Access

The client will receive a notification in Meta Business Manager.

After approval:

  • The ad account will appear in your Business Manager

  • Permissions will be active immediately

Step 5: Connect the Ad Account in Kyrios

After Meta access is complete:

  1. Go to Connect Platforms in Kyrios

  2. Open Facebook (Meta)

  3. Reconnect or refresh the connection

  4. Select the newly connected ad account

If the ad account does not appear, refresh permissions.
