Running Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Ads in AI Ads Manager

This guide explains how to set up Meta advertising and create, launch, and manage campaigns inside AI Ads Manager.

Who This Is For

Use this guide if you:

  • Are running Meta ads for the first time

  • Need to connect Meta to Kyrios

  • Want to launch a lead, traffic, or conversion campaign

  • Plan to use retargeting or lookalike audiences

  • Want AI-generated creatives and targeting


Part 1: Required Setup Before Running Ads

Meta requires business assets and permissions before ads can be launched.


Step 1: Create a Facebook Business Page

A Business Page is required to run ads.

To create one:

  1. Log in to your personal Facebook profile

  2. Click Pages

  3. Click Create New Page

  4. Enter your business information

  5. Complete the setup

Result: Your Business Page is active.


Step 2: Create a Facebook Ads Account

An Ads account is required to fund campaigns.

To create one:

  1. Go to facebook.com/adsmanager

  2. Accept Meta’s policies

  3. Add a valid payment method

Result: Your Ads account is active and funded.

Step 3: Connect Meta to Kyrios

To allow Kyrios to create and manage ads:

  1. In Kyrios, go to AI Ads Manager

  2. Click Brands

  3. Click Connect Platforms

  4. Click Connect

  5. Log in to Facebook

  6. Approve all requested permissions

  7. Select your Ads account

  8. Click Done

Result: Meta is connected to Kyrios.


Part 2: Optional but Recommended – Tracking & Retargeting Setup

This section is required for conversion campaigns and advanced optimization.


Create a Dataset

A Dataset collects event data for optimization and retargeting.

To create a Dataset:

  1. Log in to Facebook Business Manager

  2. Go to Business Settings

  3. Under Data Sources, click Datasets

  4. Click Add

  5. Name the dataset

  6. Open the dataset

  7. Go to Connected Assets

  8. Click Connect Assets

  9. Select your Ads account

  10. Click Add

Result: Your Dataset is connected.


Install the Facebook Pixel

The Pixel tracks website activity.

To install:

  1. Open Events Manager

  2. Select your Dataset

  3. Choose an installation method:

    • Manual code install

    • Partner integration (Shopify, WordPress, etc.)

    • Google Tag Manager

  4. Add the Pixel to all website pages

Verify using the Facebook Pixel Helper Chrome extension.

Result: Website events are tracked.


Create Retargeting or Lookalike Audiences

Inside Kyrios:

  1. Go to AI Ads Manager

  2. Click Advertise

  3. Select Meta

  4. Open the Targeting section

  5. Click Retargeting

  6. Click Create Website Audience

  7. Select your Dataset

  8. Define criteria

  9. Click Create Audience

To create a Lookalike:

  1. Go to the Lookalike tab

  2. Select a Custom Audience

  3. Click Create Lookalike Audience

These audiences can be included or excluded in campaigns.


Part 3: Creating a Meta Campaign in AI Ads Manager


Access Campaign Creation

To create a campaign:

  1. Go to AI Ads Manager

  2. Click Advertise

  3. Select Meta

  4. Click Create

Ads are created for one platform at a time.


Step 1: Select Campaign Objective

Choose what Meta should optimize for.

Available objectives:

  • Traffic – Sends users to your website

  • Leads – Collects contact information using Meta’s native lead form

  • Conversions – Optimizes for website actions (requires Pixel and event setup)

Select your objective and continue.


Step 2: Describe What You Are Advertising

Enter:

  • Your product or service

  • Your specific offer

Example:

  • “Solar panel installation”

  • “Free quote and savings estimate”

This description powers:

  • AI-generated creatives

  • Headlines

  • Marketing angles

  • Campaign messaging

Click Continue.


Step 3: Add Raw Assets

Upload or select:

  • Images

  • Videos

You may select up to five assets.

Click Generate.


Step 4: Select Smart Creative Templates

Choose the templates you want to use.

The system will:

  1. Generate creative variations

  2. Apply branding

  3. Create headlines and descriptions

  4. Build recommended targeting

You can edit creatives before proceeding.

To generate more variations:

  1. Click New Creative

  2. Select templates

  3. Adjust messaging if needed

  4. Click Generate


Step 5: Review and Customize Targeting

Targeting is automatically generated based on your business type.

You can:

  • Keep recommended targeting

  • Use AI targeting

  • Select interest targeting

  • Include retargeting audiences

  • Include lookalike audiences

  • Adjust geographic radius

NOTE: Always confirm location targeting matches your service area.

Click Save when complete.


Step 6: Create or Select a Lead Form (For Lead Campaigns)

Meta’s native lead form is used.

To create a new form:

  1. Click Create New

  2. Add an intro (optional)

  3. Select Higher Intent

  4. Add required contact fields:

    • Name

    • Email

    • Phone

    • Additional required details

  5. Add 1–3 qualifying questions

  6. Add your Privacy Policy URL

  7. Choose completion action:

    • Website redirect

    • Phone call

    • Social profile

  8. Click Save

Leads are synced into Kyrios.


Step 7: Set Budget

In the Budget section:

  1. Review forecasted results

  2. Set daily or total budget

  3. Confirm schedule

Start moderate and scale based on performance.


Step 8: Launch Campaign

Click Launch.

The campaign enters Meta review.

You can monitor status inside AI Ads Manager.


Creating Additional Ad Sets for Testing

To test variations:

  1. Open your campaign

  2. Click Create Ad Set

The system duplicates:

  • Creatives

  • Targeting

  • Lead form

  • Settings

Make one controlled change at a time, such as:

  • Creative angle

  • Offer

  • Targeting type

Click Launch New Ad Set.


Creative Best Practices

For stronger performance:

General

  • Focus on one clear message

  • Capture attention immediately

  • Avoid clutter

Video

  • Keep under 15 seconds

  • Design for vertical format

  • Capture attention in the first 3 seconds

Images

  • Use strong contrast

  • Highlight your main offer

  • Avoid excessive text overlays


Common Issues and Fixes

Ads Not Delivering

Audience too narrow or budget too low.

Conversion Campaign Not Tracking

Pixel or event not configured correctly.

Low Engagement

Creative lacks clarity or strong opening.
