Test SMS with the Country Picker in Workflow Send SMS Actions

The Send SMS workflow action now includes a country picker for test phone numbers, allowing Kyrios to format local numbers correctly before sending a test SMS.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use the country picker when sending a test message from a Send SMS workflow action. The country picker is especially useful when you enter phone numbers in local format without manually adding the international country code.

What Changed

The Test Phone Number field in the Send SMS workflow action now uses the standard Kyrios phone number input.

The updated field includes:

  • A country flag and dialing-code picker

  • Automatic selection of the account's country

  • Support for entering phone numbers in local format

  • Automatic conversion to full international format before the test SMS is sent

  • A simplified Invalid phone number validation message

The previous instruction requiring users to manually add a country code has been removed.

How the Country Picker Works

The country picker appears before the Test Phone Number field.

By default, Kyrios selects the country configured for the account.

When you enter a phone number, Kyrios uses the selected country to determine the correct international dialing code. The phone number is converted to full international format before the test SMS is sent. For example, if the United States is selected and you enter 4088613552, Kyrios sends the test to +14088613552.

How to Select a Different Country

You can change the country before sending the test SMS.

  1. Open the Send SMS action in the workflow.

  2. Scroll to Test Phone Number.

  3. Click the country flag beside the phone number field.

  4. Search for a country by name or dialing code.

  5. Select the correct country.

  6. Enter the phone number.

  7. Click Send test SMS.

The selected country determines how Kyrios formats the phone number for the test.

How to Send a Test SMS Using a Local Phone Number

You do not need to manually enter the international country code when the correct country is selected.

  1. Open the workflow.

  2. Open the Send SMS action.

  3. Find Test Phone Number.

  4. Confirm that the correct country flag is selected.

  5. Enter the phone number in local format.

  6. Click Send test SMS.

Kyrios converts the number to full international format before sending the test.

Example: Test an SMS to an India Phone Number

If the account country is India, the country picker defaults to India.

Enter:

9089786755

Kyrios formats the test number as:

+919089786755

You do not need to type +91 manually when India is selected.

Example: Test an SMS to a US Phone Number

If you need to test a US phone number from an account configured for another country:

  1. Click the country flag.

  2. Select United States.

  3. Enter 4088613552.

  4. Click Send test SMS.

Kyrios formats the number as:

+14088613552

Common Issues and Fixes

I see an "Invalid phone number" error

Confirm that the selected country matches the phone number you entered.

Kyrios validates and formats the number based on the selected country. A valid local number entered under the wrong country may fail validation.

The wrong country is selected by default

The country picker defaults to the country configured for the account.

Click the flag and select the correct country before entering the test phone number.

Do I need to add the country code manually?

No. When the correct country is selected, you can enter the phone number in local format. Kyrios converts the number to full international format before sending the test SMS.
