Save Progress for Multi-Step Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes

The Save Progress feature lets respondents leave a multi-step Form, Survey, or Quiz and return later to continue from where they stopped.

Who This Is For

This feature is for users who create multi-step Forms, Surveys, or Quizzes and want respondents to complete them over more than one session.

Use Save Progress when a submission may take time to finish or when respondents may need to leave and return later.

Supported Content Types

Save Progress is available for multi-step:

  • Forms

  • Surveys

  • Quizzes

The feature does not apply unless the Save Exit Confirmation setting is enabled.

Enable Save Progress

  1. Open the Form, Survey, or Quiz.

  2. Select the Settings tab.

  3. Locate Save Exit Confirmation.

  4. Turn on the toggle.

  5. Select Save.

When enabled, Kyrios can save a respondent’s progress if they leave before submitting.

How Save Progress Works

After Save Progress is enabled:

  1. A respondent begins completing a multi-step Form, Survey, or Quiz.

  2. The respondent closes the browser, refreshes the page, or navigates away before submitting.

  3. Kyrios saves the respondent’s current progress.

  4. The respondent returns to the same Form, Survey, or Quiz.

  5. A Resume Progress modal appears.

The respondent can then continue the existing submission or start a new one.

Resume Progress Options

The Resume Progress modal gives the respondent two options:

Continue

The respondent returns to the saved submission and continues from where they stopped.

Start Over

The saved submission is not resumed, and the respondent begins a new submission.

Resume Modal Branding

The Resume Progress modal automatically uses the branding configured for the Form, Survey, or Quiz.

The modal styling includes:

  • CTA button color based on the configured footer color

  • Text font based on the configured label font

No separate modal styling is required.

Desktop and Mobile Support

Save Progress is supported on desktop and mobile experiences.

Respondents can leave and return from a supported device and use the Resume Progress modal when saved progress is available.

Existing Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes

Existing Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes remain unchanged until Save Exit Confirmation is enabled.

Progress is not saved automatically when the setting is off.

Disable Save Progress

  1. Open the Form, Survey, or Quiz.

  2. Select the Settings tab.

  3. Locate Save Exit Confirmation.

  4. Turn off the toggle.

  5. Select Save.

After the setting is disabled, Kyrios will not save incomplete progress for future respondent sessions.
