Schedule Availability for Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes

The Schedule visibility setting lets you control when a Form, Survey, or Quiz accepts submissions and what visitors see before it opens or after it closes.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use Schedule visibility when a Form, Survey, or Quiz should accept responses only during a specific period.

Common uses include:

  • Event and webinar registrations

  • Flash sales and limited-time offers

  • Contests and time-limited quizzes

  • Coupon or promotional campaigns

  • Campaign launches with a future opening date

  • Forms that should automatically stop accepting responses after a deadline

If scheduling is not enabled, existing Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes continue to work as before.

What Schedule Visibility Controls

When Schedule visibility is enabled, you can configure:

  • When submissions open

  • When submissions close

  • The time zone used for the schedule

  • What visitors see before submissions open

  • What visitors see after submissions close

  • Whether visitors see a custom page or are redirected to another URL

The opening and closing schedule controls whether new responses are accepted.

How to Enable Schedule Visibility

  1. Open the Form, Survey, or Quiz you want to configure.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Find Schedule visibility.

  4. Turn on the setting.

  5. Configure the opening and closing rules.

  6. Select the time zone.

  7. Configure the visitor experience for periods outside the active submission window.

  8. Save your changes.

Once enabled, the schedule automatically controls when new submissions are accepted.

Set When Submissions Open

Under Survey opens or the equivalent opening setting, choose one of the available options:

  • Right away — submissions can begin immediately.

  • Pick a date — submissions begin at the date and time you specify.

If a future opening date is configured, visitors cannot submit before that time.

Instead, they see the pre-opening experience you configure.

Set When Submissions Close

Under Survey closes or the equivalent closing setting, choose:

  • Never — submissions remain open without a scheduled closing time.

  • Pick a date — submissions automatically stop at the configured date and time.

After the closing time is reached, Kyrios blocks new submissions automatically.

You do not need to manually disable the Form, Survey, or Quiz.

Set the Schedule Time Zone

The selected Time zone applies to both the opening and closing times.

Choose the time zone that should control the submission window before saving the schedule. This ensures the Form, Survey, or Quiz opens and closes according to the intended local time.

Configure What Visitors See Before Opening

You can configure a separate visitor experience for the period before the scheduled opening time. Use this area to explain that submissions are not available yet.

For example, a webinar registration Survey could display:

Registration opens soon

Visitors see this experience only before the configured opening time.

Configure What Visitors See After Closing

You can also define what visitors see after the scheduled closing time.

Two options are available:

  • Show a page — display a custom message.

  • Open a link — redirect the visitor to another URL.

Use Show a page when you want to explain that submissions have ended.

Use Open a link when visitors should continue to another destination, such as a waitlist, landing page, future event, or different offer.

Customize the Closed or Unavailable Page

When Show a page is selected, you can customize the content visitors see outside the active submission window.

For example, after a Survey closes, you can display a message explaining that it is no longer accepting responses.

The configured page appears automatically after the closing time is reached.

What Happens During Each Schedule State

A scheduled Form, Survey, or Quiz can have three availability states.

Before the opening time

New submissions are not accepted.

Visitors see the configured Before experience.

During the active window

The Form, Survey, or Quiz accepts responses normally.

The active window begins at the configured opening time and continues until the closing time.

After the closing time

New submissions are blocked.

Visitors see the configured After page or are redirected to the configured URL.

Example: Schedule a Webinar Registration Survey

A webinar takes place on Friday, and registration should close Thursday evening.

Configure the Survey to:

  1. Open immediately or at a scheduled launch time.

  2. Close Thursday at the desired deadline.

  3. Use the appropriate time zone.

  4. Show a custom registration message before opening, if needed.

  5. Show a closed-registration page or redirect visitors after the deadline.

At the closing time, Kyrios automatically stops accepting new registrations.

Example: Run a Limited-Time Promotion

A promotional Form should accept submissions only during a three-day campaign.

Set a specific opening and closing date.

Before the campaign begins, visitors can see a custom launch message.

After the deadline, visitors can be redirected to another offer or shown a message explaining that the promotion has ended.

Common Issues and Fixes

The Form, Survey, or Quiz is still accepting submissions

Confirm that Schedule visibility is enabled and that a closing date and time have been configured. If Never is selected for the closing setting, submissions do not expire automatically.

The experience opened or closed at the wrong time

Check the configured Time zone.

The selected time zone applies to both the opening and closing schedule.

Visitors see a closed message instead of the Form, Survey, or Quiz

Check whether the current time is outside the configured submission window.

Visitors see the configured unavailable experience before the opening time or after the closing time.

I want visitors sent somewhere else after submissions close

Under the after-closing visitor experience, select Open a link and configure the destination URL. After the closing time, visitors are redirected instead of seeing a custom page.

I do not want scheduling enabled

Turn off Schedule visibility. Without scheduling enabled, the Form, Survey, or Quiz continues using its normal availability behavior.
