Who This Is For / When to Use
This feature is for users who:
Collect structured data beyond standard contact fields
Use Company records or Custom Objects such as Cars, Properties, or Assets
Want submitted data automatically linked to the correct contact
Use this when you need object-level data captured directly from a form, survey, or quiz.
Supported Object Types
You can add fields from one object type per form:
Contact (default)
Company
One Custom Object (for example: Cars, Properties)
Company Objects and Custom Objects cannot be used together in the same form, survey, or quiz.
Step 1: Open the Form, Survey, or Quiz Builder
Navigate to Forms, Surveys, or Quizzes.
Open an existing item or create a new one.
Make sure you are in the Edit tab.
Step 2: Add Object Fields
In the left panel, open Add Object Fields.
Select the object type:
Company or
A Custom Object (for example, Cars)
Click Add.
Drag the required object fields into the form.
Step 3: Understand Primary Field Protection
Each object has a required Primary Field:
Company → Company Name
Custom Object (Cars) → Car Number Plate (example)
If you try to remove a primary field:
You will be prompted to keep it, or
Remove all related object fields
This ensures data integrity and correct record creation.
Step 4: Configure Object Associations
Click any object field in the form.
In the right panel, select Edit Association.
Choose how the object links to the contact:
One-to-one
One-to-many
Many-to-many
Save the association.
Associations can be updated without leaving the form builder.
Step 5: Save and Publish
Click Save in the top-right corner.
Publish the Form, Survey, or Quiz.
On submission:
The contact record is created or updated
The Company or Custom Object record is created or updated
The association is applied automatically
Data Sync Behavior
Data sync happens instantly on submission
Existing records are updated when matched
New records are created when no match exists
No manual linking is required after submission.
Common Issues and Fixes
Cannot add Company and Custom Object together
Only one object type is supported per form.
Primary field cannot be removed
Primary fields are required for record creation.
Object data not appearing
Ensure the form is saved and published after changes.

Can I use Company and Custom Objects in the same form?
No. A form, survey, or quiz can include only one object type at a time.
What happens if I remove a primary field?
You will be required to either keep the primary field or remove all associated object fields.
Are associations created automatically?
Yes. Associations are applied automatically based on your configuration.
Can I edit associations after publishing?
Yes. Associations can be edited at any time from within the form builder.
Is there a limit to the number of object fields?
You can add any fields defined in the object, but the primary field must always remain present.
