Retry Failed Posts in Social Planner

Retry Failed Posts lets you retry or reschedule failed Social Planner publishing attempts without cloning the post or recreating the content.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this article when a scheduled Social Planner post fails to publish and you want to recover the post quickly.

This feature is useful for users who manage social campaigns, content calendars, RSS posts, or multiple connected social accounts in Kyrios.

What Retry Failed Posts Does

Retry Failed Posts gives failed Social Planner posts two recovery options:

  1. Retry Now

  2. Reschedule Post

These options are available from the post actions menu on posts with a Failed status.

Retrying or rescheduling uses the original post content, media, settings, and connected social accounts.

Retry a Failed Post Immediately

Use Retry Now when the post failure may have been temporary and you want Kyrios to attempt publishing the same post again.

To retry a failed post:

  1. Go to Marketing → Social Planner.

  2. Open the Planner view.

  3. Find the post with a Failed status.

  4. Click the 3-dot menu on the failed post.

  5. Select Retry Now.

  6. Confirm the action.

If the retry succeeds, the post moves to the Published state.

Reschedule a Failed Post

Use Reschedule Post when you want the failed post to publish at a new future date and time.

To reschedule a failed post:

  1. Go to Marketing → Social Planner.

  2. Open the Planner view.

  3. Find the post with a Failed status.

  4. Click the 3-dot menu on the failed post.

  5. Select Reschedule Post.

  6. Choose a new future date and time.

  7. Confirm the action.

After the post is rescheduled, it moves back to the Scheduled state.

Where Recovery Actions Are Available

Failed post recovery actions are available from the failed post actions menu.

You can access recovery actions from:

  1. List View

  2. Grid View

  3. Post Preview

The available recovery actions depend on the post being in the Failed state.

What Happens After Retry or Reschedule

When you select Retry Now, Kyrios attempts to publish the original post again.

If publishing succeeds, the post status changes to Published.

When you select Reschedule Post, Kyrios keeps the original post content and moves the post back to Scheduled after you choose a new future publishing time.

Common Issues and Fixes

I do not see Retry Now or Reschedule Post

The post must be in the Failed state for retry and reschedule recovery actions to appear.

Check the post status before opening the 3-dot menu.

The retry did not publish the post

A retry can fail if the original publishing issue is still active.

Check the connected social account, post requirements, media, captions, and platform-specific restrictions before retrying again or rescheduling.

I want to retry multiple failed posts at once

Bulk retry is not included in this release.

Each failed post must be retried or rescheduled individually.

I want Kyrios to automatically retry failed posts

Automatic retries are not currently supported.

Use Retry Now to manually retry the failed post.

Notes and Limitations

Retry and reschedule actions are available only for posts in the Failed state.

Bulk retry actions are not included in this release.

Automatic retries are not currently supported.

Retrying or rescheduling avoids the need to clone failed posts or rebuild content from scratch.
