Key Metrics

Average Time

Average Time is the mean active time per visit for the selected date range. Use this metric to understand how long visitors are staying engaged with the selected funnels, websites, or webinars.

Exit Before 30 Seconds

Exit Before 30 Seconds is the percentage of visits that ended within the first 30 seconds. Use this metric to identify pages that may have weak engagement, slow load times, unclear messaging, or mismatched visitor expectations.

Visits under 2 seconds are excluded to reduce noise.

How to Access Average Time

  1. Go to Sites.

  2. Select the Analytics tab from the top navigation menu.

Filter the Analytics View

Use the top-left dropdowns to select the asset type and optional specific asset. Average Time supports:

  • Funnels

  • Websites

  • Webinars

The second dropdown can be left as All or narrowed to one specific asset.

Set the Date Range

Use the date selector in the upper-right corner to choose the reporting period. The Average Time chart updates based on the selected date range.

Review the Average Time Card

Scroll to the Average Time card. Use this card to review:

  • Average time spent per session

  • Percentage of visits that exited before 30 seconds

  • Engagement trends by date

Hover over a chart column to view the average time for that specific period.

Common Issues and Fixes

I do not see Average Time data

Confirm that the selected asset type is Funnels, Websites, or Webinars. Also confirm that the selected date range contains visitor activity.

Average Time looks lower than expected

Ultra-short visits under 2 seconds are excluded, and inactive time is capped so idle tabs do not inflate the metric.

Exit Before 30 Seconds is high

A high Exit Before 30 Seconds percentage can indicate low engagement, slow page load time, unclear page content, or visitor expectations not matching the page.
