One-Time Links for Calendars

A One Time Link is a single-use calendar scheduling link that automatically expires after one appointment is booked.

What Is a One-Time Link?

A One-Time Link is a unique scheduling link for a calendar. Unlike a standard scheduling link, a One Time Link can only be used once. After someone books an appointment with it, the link becomes inactive.

Why One-Time Links Are Important

One-Time Links help protect your calendar availability.

They help prevent:

  • Repeat bookings from the same link

  • Unwanted access to your calendar

  • Shared links are being used by people you did not invite

  • Old scheduling links are being reused later

After the link is used, the contact needs a new One-Time Link to book again.

How to Open the Share Options

  1. Go to Calendars.

  2. Open Calendar Settings.

  3. Find the calendar you want to share.

  4. Click the Action Dropdown.

  5. Select Share.

The Share option gives access to the Scheduling Link, One Time Link, and Embed Code in one place.

How to Copy a One Time Link

  1. In the Share window, select the One Time Link tab.

  2. Click Copy.

  3. Send the copied link to the contact.

A One Time Link expires after the contact completes a booking.

How to Generate a New One Time Link

Use Generate New Link when you need a fresh single-use scheduling link.

Generating a new link is useful when:

  • The previous link was already used

  • The previous link was shared with the wrong person

  • You want to cancel access to an older link

  • You need to send a new private booking link

What Happens After the Link Is Used

After a booking is completed, the One Time Link becomes inactive. If someone opens the same link again, they see a message that the link is no longer active.

The person must contact the event owner or receive a new One Time Link to book another appointment.

Common Issues and Fixes

The contact says the link no longer works

The One Time Link may already have been used. Generate a new One Time Link and send the new URL.

The contact shared the link with someone else

Only the first completed booking can use the One Time Link. After booking, the link expires and cannot be used again.

I need a reusable scheduling link

Use the regular scheduling link instead of a One Time Link when multiple people need ongoing access to book from the same URL.
