Use Triggers and Actions to Automate Tasks

Understand how triggers and actions work together so Kyrios can handle tasks and follow-up automatically.

Automation in Kyrios works through triggers and actions.

A trigger starts the process.
An action is what the system does next.

Why this matters

Without this, everything depends on you:

  • remembering to follow up

  • creating tasks

  • sending messages

  • assigning work

With triggers and actions:

  • work starts automatically

  • tasks are created without thinking about it

  • follow-up happens consistently

This is how the system begins to carry the load.

What you will do

You will:

  1. Understand what triggers are

  2. Understand what actions do

  3. See how they work together

You are not building complex automation here. You are learning how the system thinks.

Step 1 — Understand triggers

A trigger is what starts a workflow.

It tells the system: “Something just happened. Do something about it.”

Common triggers include:

  • A contact is created

  • A form is submitted

  • A tag is added

  • A pipeline stage changes

These are everyday events in your business. Triggers make sure those events don’t go unnoticed.

Step 2 — Understand actions

An action is what happens after the trigger.

It tells the system: “Now do this.”

Common actions include:

  • Send an email

  • Send an SMS

  • Create a task

  • Assign a contact

  • Update a record

This is where the work gets done.

Step 3 — See how they connect

This is the full flow:

  1. A trigger happens

  2. The workflow starts

  3. Actions run automatically

Example:

A referral is submitted
→ A task is created
→ A message is sent
→ The contact is assigned

No one has to remember to do any of that.

Where tasks fit in

Tasks are one of the most important actions.

Instead of thinking: “I need to follow up later”

The system creates the task for you. You just complete it.

This is how consistency is built.

Where to see this working

When triggers and actions run, you’ll see results in:

  • Tasks (automatically created)

  • Conversations (messages sent)

  • Contacts (updated records)

About premium triggers and actions

Some triggers and actions are marked with a crown icon. These are premium triggers and actions.

They connect Kyrios to third-party systems and advanced capabilities.

Here’s how to think about them:

  • They allow deeper automation without needing separate subscriptions

  • They are available as part of Kyrios instead of requiring full external tools

How pricing works

  • Each premium execution costs $0.02

  • This is deducted from your Kyrios wallet

  • Your account already includes monthly complimentary credits to cover these things

  • Most early usage stays within those credits

You only incur additional cost if you exceed those included credits.

What this means for you

You do not need to use premium triggers or actions to get started. Many members never use them at all. They are there when you want to expand what your system can do if you need them.

Helpful resources

What to ignore for now

You do not ye need:

  • advanced conditions

  • branching logic

  • premium integrations

  • complex automation flows

Right now, you just need to understand how work starts and what happens next.

Important note

Automation only works when the trigger and setup are correct. If something is missing or out of order, the workflow may not run as expected. That’s why following the Starter Pack setup steps matters.

Think of it like this:

You define the rule once.

The system follows it every time.

That’s how work starts moving without you.

This helps you go from: “I have to manage every step”

to: “The system can handle the steps for me”

That’s more leverage for your business.
