Attach files from Media Storage directly inside workflow actions without re-uploading or using external links.

What This Feature Does

Media Storage is now integrated into supported workflow actions.

  • Attach files directly from Media Storage

  • Upload new files during workflow setup

  • Reuse existing assets across multiple workflows

  • Eliminate manual uploads and external links

Supported Workflow Actions

Media attachments are available in actions that support files.

  • SMS / MMS

  • Voicemail

  • Chat messages

  • Social messaging (e.g., Instagram DM)

Note: Email actions are not supported at launch.

How to Add Media to a Workflow Action

  1. Open a workflow and select a supported action

  2. Click Add attachments

  3. Choose one of the following:

    • Upload from System

    • Choose from Media Storage

  4. Select your file

  5. Save the action

Attachment Selection Options

When adding media, you have two options:

  • Upload from System

    • Upload a new file from your device

  • Choose from Media Storage

    • Select an existing file from your library

Validation Rules for Attachments

All files are validated before being added.

  • File type must be supported by the action

  • File size must meet action limits

  • Invalid files will show an inline error

  • Attachments are only added after passing validation

Behavior When Copying Actions

Media attachments persist when duplicating actions.

  • Copied workflow actions retain attached files

  • No need to reselect or re-upload media

  • Ensures consistency across workflows

Use Case Example

A marketing team can attach the same product PDF from Media Storage across multiple Instagram DM workflow steps without re-uploading the file each time.

Common Issues and Fixes

Unable to attach a file

  • Check file type is supported

  • Ensure file size is within limits

  • Try re-uploading or selecting a different file

Media Storage option not visible

  • Confirm the selected action supports attachments

  • Ensure you are using a supported channel

File shows error after selection

  • The file may exceed size limits

  • The format may not be supported by that action

Yes. Files stored in Media Storage can be reused across any supported workflow action.

Do I need to upload files every time?

No. You can select existing files from Media Storage without re-uploading.

Are all workflow actions supported?

No. Only actions that support media attachments allow this feature.

Does this support email attachments?

No. Email support is not available at launch but will be added in a future update.

What happens to attachments when duplicating a workflow step?

Attachments are automatically carried over when the action is copied.
