Social Planner: Custom Date Range & Comparative View (Statistics)

Analyze Social Planner performance using custom date ranges and compare results against previous periods directly in Statistics.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this feature when you need to analyze campaign performance over a specific timeframe or compare results against a previous period to measure growth or decline.

Access the Date Range & Comparison Settings

  1. Go to Marketing → Social Planner.

  2. Click the Statistics tab.

  3. Click the date range selector at the top of the page.

Select a Custom Date Range

  1. Open the date picker.

  2. Choose a preset or custom range:

    • Last 7 days

    • Last 14 days

    • Last 30 days

    • Custom range

  3. Select:

    • Start date

    • End date

  4. Click Confirm.

Result:
All metrics and charts update instantly based on the selected timeframe.

Compare With a Previous Period

  1. In the date picker, locate Compare to.

  2. Select a comparison option:

    • Previous Period (default)

    • Previous 7 days

    • Previous 30 days

    • Custom

  3. Confirm your selection.

Result:
The system compares your selected date range against the chosen comparison period.

View Performance Changes

Once a comparison is applied, percentage change indicators appear across key metrics:

  • Total Posts

  • Likes

  • Followers

  • Impressions

  • Comments

Behavior:

  • Green or neutral values indicate stable or improved performance

  • Red values indicate a decrease compared to the previous period

How Graph Scaling Works

  • Short date ranges: Display detailed daily data points

  • Longer date ranges: Automatically aggregate data for readability

This ensures charts remain clear regardless of timeframe.

Common Issues and Fixes

Metrics are not updating

  • Click Confirm after selecting a date range.

  • Ensure both start and end dates are selected.

Comparison data is missing

  • Verify that Compare to is enabled.

  • Ensure the comparison period is valid relative to the selected range.

Data looks different than expected

  • Check the selected date range and comparison window.

  • Longer ranges may show aggregated data instead of daily values.

Can I compare custom date ranges?

Yes. Select Custom under “Compare to” and define your own comparison window.

What does “Previous Period” mean?

It compares your selected date range with the immediately preceding timeframe of the same length.

Do charts update automatically?

Yes. All KPIs and charts update instantly after confirming your selection.

Can I use presets instead of custom dates?

Yes. You can quickly select predefined ranges like 7, 14, or 30 days.

Does this replace the old 7-day view?

Yes. The fixed 7-day view has been replaced with flexible date selection and comparison.
