Smarter Task Notifications

You can now disable daily task notifications when you have no due or overdue tasks.

Updated over 2 months ago

Who This Is For

This update is for users who:

  • Receive daily task summary notifications

  • Want to reduce unnecessary email or in-app alerts

  • Only want notifications when action is required

Use this setting if you prefer to receive daily task notifications only when you have at least one due or overdue task.

What Changed

Kyrios now includes a setting that prevents daily task notifications from being sent when you have zero tasks due or overdue.

If enabled:

  • You will not receive a daily summary when there are no tasks.

  • You will continue to receive notifications when tasks are due or overdue.

This reduces inbox clutter while preserving important alerts.

How to Enable “Don’t Send Notifications When There Are No Tasks”

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Select My Profile

  3. Click Notifications

  4. Open Task Notifications

  5. Enable Don’t send notifications when there are no tasks

How It Works

  • The system checks your due and overdue tasks daily.

  • If the total is zero, no daily summary notification is sent.

  • If one or more tasks exist, the summary notification is delivered as usual.

This setting only affects daily task summary notifications. It does not disable other task-related alerts.

Common Questions

Does this turn off all task notifications?

No. It only suppresses the daily summary when there are zero tasks due or overdue.

Will I still be notified about new tasks?

Yes. Any standard task alerts remain active based on your notification settings.

Can I turn this back on?

Yes. You can disable the setting at any time by returning to:

Settings → My Profile → Notifications → Task Notifications

This update helps keep your notifications focused on actionable work while eliminating unnecessary daily reminders.
