Saving Elements and Layouts in the Email Builder for Quick Access

Save frequently used email elements and full layouts so they can be reused instantly across all email templates and campaigns.

Who This Is For / When to Use

This article is for users who regularly build marketing emails and want to reuse design components (such as headers, sections, or full layouts) to save time and maintain consistency.

Use this when:

  • You reuse the same design blocks across multiple emails.

  • You want faster email creation with consistent branding.

  • You manage multiple campaigns or templates.


What Are Saved Elements and Saved Layouts

  • Saved Element: A single design component (for example, an image block, text section, or CTA).

  • Saved Layout: A full section or multi-element layout saved as one reusable unit.

Saved items are stored globally and are available in the Email Builder for:

  • All existing email templates

  • All new email templates

  • All email campaigns


How to Save an Element or Layout

Step 1: Open the Email Builder

  1. Go to Marketing β†’ Email Marketing.

  2. Open any Email Campaign or Email Template.


Step 2: Create or Select the Item You Want to Save

  • Build a new element or layout, or

  • Select an existing one already in the email.


Step 3: Save an Element

  1. Hover over the individual element.

  2. Click the Save (disk) icon in the floating toolbar.


Step 4: Save a Layout

  1. Hover over the full layout or section.

  2. Click the Save (disk) icon in the section toolbar.


Where Saved Elements and Layouts Are Stored

Access Saved Items

  1. In the Email Builder, click the Saved Items (disk) icon in the top toolbar.

  2. View all saved elements and layouts in the Saved Items panel.

All saved items are immediately available for reuse.


How to Rename Saved Elements or Layouts

Renaming helps with faster searching and organization.

Rename a Saved Item

  1. Open the Saved Items panel.

  2. Click the three-dot menu on the saved element or layout.

  3. Select Rename.

  4. Enter the new name and save.


How to Reuse a Saved Element or Layout

  1. Open the Saved Items panel.

  2. Use the Search bar to find the item by name.

  3. Drag and drop the saved element or layout into your email.


Important Notes

  • Saved elements and layouts are global across the account.

  • Changes made after inserting a saved item do not update the original saved version.

  • You can save unlimited elements and layouts.

Can I use saved elements in new email templates?

Yes. Saved elements and layouts are available in all new and existing email templates and campaigns.


Are saved items shared across the account?

Yes. All saved elements and layouts are stored globally and can be accessed anywhere in the Email Builder.


Can I delete a saved element or layout?

Yes. Open the Saved Items panel, click the three-dot menu on the item, and select Delete.


Does editing a reused element update the original saved item?

No. Editing an inserted element only affects that specific email. The original saved item remains unchanged.


Can I search for saved elements by name?

Yes. Use the search bar in the Saved Items panel to quickly locate saved elements or layouts.
