Integrate a Calendar Using Calendar Bridge

Calendar Bridge lets you sync third-party calendars into Kyrios by using Google Calendar as an intermediary connection.

Updated over 2 months ago

Who This Is For / When to Use

This article is for account owners and administrators who need to sync non-Google or non-Outlook calendars (such as Apple Calendar or other third-party systems) into Kyrios.

What Calendar Bridge Does

Calendar Bridge is a third-party tool that syncs calendars together.

In Kyrios, it is used to:

  • Sync unsupported third-party calendars

  • Route events through Google Calendar

  • Allow Kyrios to read and write events using Google as a bridge

If you are using Google or Outlook directly, use the native integration articles instead.

How the Calendar Bridge Workflow Works

The integration follows this sequence:

  1. Third-party calendar β†’ Calendar Bridge

  2. Calendar Bridge β†’ Google Calendar

  3. Google Calendar β†’ Kyrios

Kyrios never connects directly to Calendar Bridge.

What You Need Before You Start

Before beginning, make sure you have:

  • A Calendar Bridge account

  • A Google Calendar

  • A third-party calendar you want to sync

  • Access to Settings > Integrations in Kyrios

Step 1: Connect Calendars in Calendar Bridge

  1. Create an account at CalendarBridge.com

  2. Click Connect Calendar Account

  3. Connect:

    • Your third-party calendar

    • A Google Calendar

  4. Click Start Syncing Calendars

  5. Select:

    • Source Calendar: Third-party calendar

    • Destination Calendar: Google Calendar

  6. Complete sync setup

Step 2: Connect Google Calendar to Kyrios

After Calendar Bridge is syncing to Google, connect Google to Kyrios.

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Open Integrations

  3. Click Connect Google Account

  4. Complete Google authorization

Step 3: Assign the Google Calendar in Kyrios

You can assign the connected Google Calendar to either an account calendar or a user.

Assign to an Account Calendar

  • Go to Settings > Calendars

  • Edit the calendar

  • Select the connected Google Calendar

Assign to a User Calendar

  1. Go to Settings > My Staff

  2. Select a user

  3. Scroll to User Calendar Configuration

  4. Select the connected Google Calendar

Step 4: Verify the Calendar Sync

To confirm the integration is working:

  1. Go to Settings > My Profile

  2. Scroll to Calendar Settings

  3. Confirm the Google Calendar is selected

  4. Open Calendars

  5. Select the user

  6. Verify appointments appear correctly

Important Sync Notes

  • Calendar Bridge must remain active for syncing to continue

  • Kyrios only reads from the connected Google Calendar

  • Sync delays depend on Calendar Bridge sync frequency

  • Writer access is required on the Google Calendar

When Not to Use Calendar Bridge

Do not use Calendar Bridge if:

  • You are syncing Google Calendar directly

  • You are syncing Outlook directly

  • You need real-time, native calendar updates

Use native integrations instead.
