What Connecting Google Does
When you connect Google to Kyrios:
Kyrios gains permission to access selected Google services
Google Calendar becomes available for syncing appointments
Calendar availability can be checked automatically to prevent conflicts
Google acts as the primary connection that enables other Google-based features.
Connect Your Google Account
Step 1: Open Integrations
Go to Settings.
Click Integrations.
Step 2: Connect Google
Locate the Google integration.
Click Connect.
Sign in to your Google account.
Review and accept the requested permissions.
Once completed, the Google integration status changes from Connect to Manage.
Why Google Is Required Before Google Calendar
Google Calendar cannot be connected on its own.
Kyrios uses your main Google account as a bridge connection, which allows the system to:
Detect all calendars associated with your Google account
Read availability and event data
Sync appointments bi-directionally (where supported)
Without the Google connection, Kyrios cannot access individual calendars.
Connect Google Calendar
Step 1: Confirm Google Is Connected
Before connecting Google Calendar:
The Google integration must already show Manage
You must have calendar access permissions in the connected Google account
Step 2: Enable Google Calendar
Locate Google Calendar in Integrations.
Click Connect or Manage.
Select which calendars should sync with Kyrios.
Save your settings.
Kyrios will begin syncing calendar events automatically.
How Calendar Sync Works
After Google Calendar is connected:
Existing events are read to determine availability
New bookings made in Kyrios appear on your Google Calendar
Events added directly in Google Calendar are reflected in Kyrios (depending on configuration)
This ensures accurate availability and helps prevent double-bookings.
Disconnecting Google or Google Calendar
Disconnecting Google Calendar stops calendar syncing only.
Disconnecting Google disables all Google-related features, including Calendar access.
Previously synced data remains, but no new data will sync after disconnection.
Common Questions
Why can’t I connect Google Calendar without Google?
Google Calendar requires Google authentication. Kyrios must first connect to your Google account to access your calendars.
Can I connect multiple calendars?
Yes. You can choose which calendars within your Google account are synced, based on your permissions.
Will Kyrios edit my existing calendar events?
Kyrios does not modify existing events unless the event is created or updated through Kyrios booking actions.
What happens if I revoke Google permissions?
If permissions are revoked from Google’s side, syncing stops until the integration is reconnected.
