Use this guide if you want to:
Temporarily stop an active ad campaign
Pause ads without deleting them
Control spend or performance while reviewing results
Pausing a campaign does not remove it and can be reversed at any time.
Pause a Campaign from the Advertise Tab
This is the fastest way to pause an entire campaign.
Steps
Go to the Advertise tab.
Locate the campaign card you want to pause.
Click View Results on the bottom-left of the campaign card.
On the Results screen, toggle the campaign switch on the right to off.
The campaign is paused immediately.
To resume the campaign, toggle the switch back on.
Pause a Campaign from Campaign Settings
You can also pause a campaign while editing or reviewing it.
Steps
Open the campaign.
Navigate to the Edit Preview view.
Open Campaign Settings.
Use the campaign toggle to pause or resume the campaign.
This method pauses the entire campaign.
Pause Individual Ad Sets
You can pause ad sets without stopping the full campaign.
Steps
Open the campaign.
Go to Ad Set Settings.
Switch between existing ad sets.
Use the toggle next to each ad set to pause or resume it individually.
Other ad sets will continue running unless paused.
What Happens When You Pause a Campaign
When a campaign or ad set is paused:
Ads stop delivering immediately
No additional spend occurs
Performance data remains available
The campaign can be resumed at any time
Paused campaigns are not deleted.
Common Issues and Fixes
I Don’t See the Pause Toggle
Cause:
You are not viewing the campaign, ad set, or results screen.
Fix:
Open View Results, Campaign Settings, or Ad Set Settings to access the toggle.
My Campaign Is Still Not Running After Resuming
Cause:
An ad set or ad inside the campaign may still be paused.
Fix:
Check Ad Set Settings and ensure all required toggles are turned on.
FAQ
Does pausing a campaign delete my ads?
No. Pausing only stops delivery. All ads and data remain intact.
Can I pause just one ad set?
Yes. Ad sets can be paused individually without stopping the entire campaign.
Can I resume a paused campaign later?
Yes. Simply toggle the campaign or ad set back on to resume delivery.
