How to Create and Use Coupon Codes for One-Step and Two-Step Order Forms

Create coupon codes in Payments and apply them to One-Step or Two-Step Order Forms to offer discounts at checkout.

How Coupons Work in Kyrios

Coupons are created in Payments and applied at checkout through Order Forms.

A coupon will only appear on an order form when:

  • The coupon is active

  • The coupon applies to the selected product

  • Coupon codes are enabled on the order form

Step 1: Navigate to Coupons in Payments

Steps

  1. Log in to your account.

  2. Go to Payments.

  3. Select Coupons.

Result
You see the Coupons dashboard with existing coupons and status filters.

Step 2: Create a New Coupon

Steps

  1. Click Create Coupon.

  2. Enter the required fields:

    • Coupon Name (internal reference)

    • Coupon Code (customer-facing)

    • Coupon Type: Percentage or Fixed

    • Discount Offered

    • Start Date / End Date

  3. Configure optional limits:

    • Total redemption limit

    • Selected products only

    • One use per customer

    • Apply to recurring payments

Result
The coupon is configured with basic rules and restrictions.

Step 3: Apply Coupons to Subscriptions (Optional)

For subscription products, you can control how long the coupon applies.

Options

  • Forever – applies to all future subscription payments

  • Multiple Months – applies for a defined number of months

Important
This duration is independent of billing frequency.

Step 4: Save the Coupon

Click Create to finalize the coupon.

Result

  • Coupon status becomes Active or Scheduled

  • Coupon appears in the Coupons list with redemption tracking

Step 5: Open or Create a Funnel

Coupons are applied through order forms inside funnels.

Steps

  1. Go to Funnels.

  2. Create a new funnel or open an existing one.

  3. Click the three-dot menu and select Edit.

Step 6: Add an Order Form Element

  1. In the funnel builder, open Elements.

  2. Scroll to Order Elements.

  3. Drag in:

    • One-Step Order or

    • Two-Step Order

Step 7: Enable Coupon Codes on the Order Form

Steps

  1. Click the order form element.

  2. Open the General tab.

  3. Scroll to Coupon Options.

  4. Enable Enable Coupon Codes.

Result
A coupon input field appears on the live checkout (if an applicable coupon exists).

Step 8: Save and Publish the Funnel

Steps

  1. Click Save.

  2. Click Publish.

Result
The coupon is now usable on the live order form.

Common Issues and Fixes

Coupon field not visible

  • Ensure Enable Coupon Codes is turned on

  • Confirm an active coupon applies to the product

Coupon not applying

  • Verify product restrictions

  • Confirm the coupon is active and within the date range

The coupon works in preview but not in live

  • Ensure the funnel is published

Do coupons apply to all product types?

Coupons apply to one-time products and subscription products, depending on configuration.

What coupon types are available?

  • Percentage Coupon

  • Fixed Coupon

Are coupon codes unique?

Yes. Coupon codes must be unique across the account.

What characters are allowed in coupon codes?

Coupon codes may contain alphanumeric characters and are not case-sensitive.

What does limiting total redemptions mean?

It restricts the total number of successful uses, regardless of how many customers redeem it.

What does “limit to selected products” mean?

The coupon can only be used on the products you explicitly select.

Will the coupon field appear automatically on order forms?

Only if:

  • A valid, active coupon applies to the selected product

  • Coupon codes are enabled on the order form

Can I create a hidden or automatic coupon?

No. Coupon fields are visible to all users when enabled.
For automatic discounts, duplicate the funnel and reduce the product price instead.
