Before You Begin
To issue a certificate or badge, you must have:
At least one certificate or badge template created
Members (contacts) available in your Kyrios account
Appropriate permissions to manage credentials
Note: Automatic issuance through courses or categories is covered in Article 2.
Manually Issuing a Certificate or Badge
You can manually issue credentials at any time, even if they are not attached to a course or workflow.
Steps
Go to Credentials from the main navigation.
Open the Templates tab.
Locate the certificate or badge you want to issue.
Click the three-dot (⋮) menu on the right.
Select Send.
This opens the send panel where you can configure recipients and delivery settings.
Sending Credentials to Members
Configure Send Details
In the Send Certificate / Send Badge panel:
Instructor Name
Enter the name that should appear as the issuer on the credential.
Recipients
Search and select one or more existing contacts.
Use Add New to include a new recipient by email.
Email Template
Choose the email template used to notify recipients.
Customizing the Credential Email
Kyrios allows you to customize the email that delivers the certificate or badge.
Edit the Email Template
In the send panel, locate Email Template.
Click the edit (✏️) icon.
Select an existing template or create a new one.
Update:
Email subject
Message content
Dynamic fields (recipient name, credential title, links)
Click Confirm to apply the template.
Tip: Email templates are reusable across certificates and badges.
Sending the Credential
After configuring recipients and email settings:
Review all details.
Click Send Email.
Kyrios immediately issues the credential and sends an email notification to each recipient.
What Recipients Receive
When a credential is issued, recipients receive:
An email notification with a View Credential link
Access to a public credential page that includes:
Credential image
Issued date
Expiry date (if set)
Issuer information
From the credential page, recipients can:
Download the certificate or badge
Share it on social platforms (including LinkedIn)
Copy a verification link
Credential Verification
Each issued credential includes a verification page.
Anyone with the verification link can:
Confirm the credential is valid
View issuer details
See issue and expiry dates
This helps ensure authenticity and prevents misuse.
Viewing Issued Certificates and Badges
To manage credentials that have already been sent:
Go to Credentials.
Open Issued Certificates or Issued Badges.
From here, you can:
View recipient details
Check issue and expiry dates
Preview issued credentials
Access export options
Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Recipient didn’t receive the email
Ask them to check spam or promotions folders.
Confirm the email address is correct.
Wrong name or data appears on the credential
Check the contact’s profile details.
Verify the dynamic fields used in the template.
Can I resend a credential?
Yes. You can resend by using the Send option again.
