This article explains how to manually issue certificates and badges in Kyrios, send them to members, customize delivery emails, and understand what recipients experience when they receive a credential.

Updated over 2 months ago

Before You Begin

To issue a certificate or badge, you must have:

  • At least one certificate or badge template created

  • Members (contacts) available in your Kyrios account

  • Appropriate permissions to manage credentials

Note: Automatic issuance through courses or categories is covered in Article 2.

Manually Issuing a Certificate or Badge

You can manually issue credentials at any time, even if they are not attached to a course or workflow.

Steps

  1. Go to Credentials from the main navigation.

  2. Open the Templates tab.

  3. Locate the certificate or badge you want to issue.

  4. Click the three-dot (⋮) menu on the right.

  5. Select Send.

This opens the send panel where you can configure recipients and delivery settings.

Sending Credentials to Members

  1. Instructor Name

    • Enter the name that should appear as the issuer on the credential.

Kyrios allows you to customize the email that delivers the certificate or badge.

  1. In the send panel, locate Email Template.

  2. Click the edit (✏️) icon.

  3. Select an existing template or create a new one.

  4. Update:

    • Email subject

    • Message content

    • Dynamic fields (recipient name, credential title, links)

  5. Click Confirm to apply the template.

Tip: Email templates are reusable across certificates and badges.

Sending the Credential

After configuring recipients and email settings:

  1. Review all details.

  2. Click Send Email.

Kyrios immediately issues the credential and sends an email notification to each recipient.

What Recipients Receive

When a credential is issued, recipients receive:

  • An email notification with a View Credential link

  • Access to a public credential page that includes:

    • Credential image

    • Issued date

    • Expiry date (if set)

    • Issuer information

From the credential page, recipients can:

  • Download the certificate or badge

  • Share it on social platforms (including LinkedIn)

  • Copy a verification link

Credential Verification

Each issued credential includes a verification page.

Anyone with the verification link can:

  • Confirm the credential is valid

  • View issuer details

  • See issue and expiry dates

This helps ensure authenticity and prevents misuse.

Viewing Issued Certificates and Badges

To manage credentials that have already been sent:

  1. Go to Credentials.

  2. Open Issued Certificates or Issued Badges.

From here, you can:
