How to Create Certificates and Badges in Kyrios

Create, design, and issue certificates or badges in Kyrios to recognize course and membership achievements.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this when you want to:

  • Create certificates or badges for courses, categories, or milestones

  • Design credentials using templates or from scratch

  • Issue credentials automatically or manually


Accessing the Credentials Area

  1. Open Memberships from the left navigation.

  2. Click Credentials at the top.


Creating a New Certificate or Badge

  1. In Credentials, click + Create.

  2. Choose Create Certificate or Create Badge.


Choosing How to Start

You can start in two ways:

  • From Scratch – build a credential manually.

  • From Template – select a prebuilt design.


Selecting a Template

  1. Select a prebuilt template from the gallery.

  2. Click Confirm to open the editor.


Certificate & Badge Editor Overview

The editor supports drag-and-drop customization:

  • Text

  • Images

  • Frames

  • Backgrounds

  • Signatures

  • Template:

    • You can use existing templates for certificates.

    • You can then customize the template according to your requirements.

  • Layout:

    • To choose a layout, click on Layout, and choose between Portrait or Landscape

    • Once selected, you can choose frames for both layouts, respectively

    • To remove a frame, click on the same frame again (from the right bar)

    • Note: Changing the layout from Portrait to Landscape or vice-versa will disrupt the edits

  • Background:

    • To choose a background, click on Background

    • Choose the colours

    • Upload an image as a background or enter image links to upload

    • Choose the opacity of the background image or color by using the opacity slider

    • To choose a pattern as the background image, click on Patterns, and choose a pattern and color.

  • Header

    • To add a header, drag and drop the Header element to your template and start editing the text after selection

    • Elements can be cloned or deleted by clicking on the copy and delete icons

    • Choose Font Styles, Font Size, Font Type (Heading 1, Heading 2, etc ...), Font Colour, etc. from the top bar after selecting a text

    • To resize, move the blue dots of the text box

  • Text

    • To add text, drag and drop the Text element to your template and start editing the text after selection

    • Elements can be cloned or deleted by clicking on the copy and delete icons

    • Choose Font Styles, Font Size, Font Type (Headings, Paragraphs, etc), Font Colour, etc. from the top bar after selecting a text

    • To resize, move the blue dots of the text box

  • Image

    • To add an image, drag and drop the Image element to your template

    • Upload an image or add the image link to upload

    • Choose the opacity of the background image by using the opacity slider

    • To resize, move the blue dots of the box

  • Frames

    • You have to option to choose from a variety of options of frames.

    • Click the Frames option, and you will have the list.

    • You can then select of of the listed frames for your certificates.

  • Signatures

    • To add a signature, drag and drop the Signature element to your template

    • Choose a badge from the options by clicking on it

    • Choose the signature styles after selecting the signature

    • To resize, move the blue dots of the box


Adding and Editing Text

  1. Click Text in the left panel.

  2. Add a heading, subheading, or normal text.

  3. Use the toolbar to format fonts, size, and alignment.


Using Custom Fields

Custom fields automatically populate dynamic data.

  1. Select a text element.

  2. Click the Custom Field icon.

  3. Choose fields like contact name or membership title.


Saving and Previewing

  • Click Save to store changes.

  • Click Preview to view the final credential.


Sending Certificates or Badges Manually

  1. Click Send in the editor.

  2. Enter instructor name and recipient.

  3. Select an email template.

  4. Click Send Email.


Customizing Email Templates

You can customize the email used for manual sends.

  1. Click the edit icon next to the email template.

  2. Update subject and content.

  3. Click Confirm.


Where Clients Find Their Certificates

Clients can download certificates from their account:

  1. Log in to the Client Portal.

  2. Open Manage Your Account.

  3. Click Certificates.


Downloading Certificates

  1. Open a certificate.

  2. Click Download to save a high-quality copy.


Common Issues and Fixes

  • Certificate shows blank fields: Ensure custom fields are supported and the contact exists.

  • Can’t send manually: Recipient must be a contact in the account.

Can I create both certificates and badges?

Yes. Kyrios supports both certificates and badges from the Credentials area.

Can I design my own credential layout?

Yes. You can start from scratch and fully customize the design.

Do credentials work on mobile devices?

Yes. Certificates and badges are responsive and viewable on all devices.

Can clients download their certificates themselves?

Yes. Clients can download certificates from their account under Certificates.
