What Is Tracked in Custom Object Audit Logs
Audit Logs record activity across the following areas:
Custom Objects
When a custom object is created or updated.
Custom Object Records
Record creation
Record updates
Record deletions
Associations
Associations created, updated, or deleted
Between two custom objects
Between a custom object and a contact
Each log entry includes:
Object or record name
Module type
Action performed (Created, Updated, Deleted)
User who performed the action
Date and time of the action
Accessing Audit Logs
Go to Account Settings.
Open Audit Logs.
Result:
The Audit Logs table displays recent activity across the account.
Filtering Audit Logs for Custom Objects
In the Module dropdown, select one of the following:
Custom Object
Object
Association
(Optional) Apply additional filters:
User
Action type
Time range (up to last 60 days)
Result:
The list updates to show only Custom Object–related activity.
Viewing Detailed Change Information
Locate a log entry in the table.
Click the three-dot (ellipsis) menu on the right.
Select View Details.
What You’ll See:
Fields that were added or updated
Old vs. new values (when applicable)
Association changes (added or removed owners, links, or properties)
Data Retention Policy
Audit logs are retained for 60 days from the date of activity.
Logs older than 60 days are automatically removed and cannot be recovered.

Can I see exactly what field was changed?
Yes. Use View Details from the ellipsis menu to see added or updated fields.
Can I filter audit logs only for custom objects?
Yes. Use the Module filter and select Custom Object, Object, or Association.
How long are audit logs stored?
Audit logs are stored for 60 days only.
Who can access Audit Logs?
Only users with appropriate account-level permissions can view Audit Logs.
