Who This Is For / When to Use

This article is for Kyrios users who accidentally deleted an opportunity and need to recover it, or who want to audit the full history of an opportunity using its unique Opportunity ID.

How Opportunity Deletion and Restoration Works

Deleted opportunities are not immediately removed from Kyrios. They are retained in Audit Logs for up to 60 days, during which they can be restored individually. After 60 days, deleted opportunities are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

How to Restore a Deleted Opportunity from the Opportunities Tab

Deleted opportunities can be restored directly from the Opportunities module using the built-in restore option.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Pipelines → Opportunities.

  2. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the Opportunities page.

  3. Select Restore Opportunities from the dropdown menu.

  4. You will be redirected to the Audit Logs filtered to deleted opportunities.

  5. Locate the opportunity you want to recover.

  6. Click the three-dot menu next to the opportunity and select Restore.

  7. The opportunity is immediately restored and reappears in its original pipeline.

How to Restore an Opportunity from Audit Logs

Opportunities can also be restored directly from the Audit Logs without starting in the Opportunities tab.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Settings → Audit Logs.

  2. Use the Module filter and select Opportunity.

  3. Set the Action filter to Deleted.

  4. Locate the deleted opportunity in the list.

  5. Click the three-dot menu on the right side of the record.

  6. Select Restore to recover the opportunity.

How to Find an Opportunity’s Audit History Using the Opportunity ID

Each opportunity has a unique ID that can be used to track its full activity history in Audit Logs.

Steps

  1. Open the Opportunity record.

  2. In the bottom-left corner, locate Created By / Created On details.

  3. Click the copy icon next to the Opportunity ID to copy it.

  4. Navigate to Settings → Audit Logs.

  5. Paste the Opportunity ID into the Search Document ID field.

  6. Review all actions related to that specific opportunity, including updates, deletions, and restorations.

What Happens After an Opportunity Is Restored

When an opportunity is restored, Kyrios returns it to the pipeline exactly as it existed before deletion, including stage placement and historical activity. The restore action itself is logged in Audit Logs for compliance and tracking.

Common Issues and Fixes

The deleted opportunity does not appear in Audit Logs

This usually means the opportunity was deleted more than 60 days ago. Opportunities older than 60 days are permanently removed and cannot be restored.

The Restore option is missing

The Restore option only appears for records marked as Deleted. Ensure the Action filter is set to Deleted and the Module filter is set to Opportunity.

The opportunity restored but the contact is missing

Restoring an opportunity does not restore deleted contacts. If the associated contact was also deleted, restore the contact separately from Contacts → Audit Logs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I restore an opportunity deleted a long time ago?

Opportunities can only be restored within 60 days of deletion. After that period, the data is permanently removed.

Can I restore multiple opportunities at once?

Can I view the history of an opportunity after it’s restored?

Yes. The full history remains available in Audit Logs and can be accessed using the Opportunity ID.

Will restoring an opportunity restore related contacts automatically?

No. Opportunities and contacts are restored independently. Deleted contacts must be restored separately.
