Custom Reports let you build multi-page, branded reports, add widgets and insights, and schedule automated delivery to stakeholders.

Who This Is For / When to Use

  • Account owners and team members who need recurring or one-time reports.

  • Use when you want to share structured insights beyond dashboards.

  • Use when you need scheduled email delivery or PDF snapshots.


Accessing Custom Reports

  1. Open Reporting from the main navigation.

  2. Select Custom Reports.

  3. Click + New Report to start creating a report.


Choosing a Report Source

After clicking New Report, choose how to create your report:

  • Create a blank report – Start from scratch.

  • From template library – Use a prebuilt or saved template.

  • Import from existing dashboard – Convert an existing dashboard into a report.

Select the option that best fits your use case.

Importing From an Existing Dashboard

To reuse an existing dashboard layout:

  1. Scroll to Import from existing dashboard.

  2. Select a dashboard from the dropdown.

  3. Click Import.

This keeps widget structure and metrics intact.


Report Builder Overview

The report builder is where you design and manage pages.

Key areas:

  • Page List on the left for navigating pages.

  • Date range selector at the top.

  • Add Widget area in the main canvas.


Adding Widgets to a Report

To add content to a page:

  1. Click + Add Widget in the report canvas.

  2. Choose from suggested widgets or open the full widget library.

  3. Select the widget to place it on the page.

Widgets display live report data.


Adding Elements (Text, Images, Embeds)

In addition to widgets, you can add layout elements.

Available elements:

  • Title

  • Text Box

  • Image

  • Embed

Use these for explanations, headers, branding, or external content.


Managing Report Permissions

To control who can access a report:

  1. Click the permissions icon in the top bar.

  2. Enable Private Report to restrict access to yourself.

  3. Save changes.

Private reports are not visible to other team members.


Applying Themes to Reports

Themes control colors, typography, and overall style.

Steps:

  1. Open the report builder.

  2. Click the Themes tab.

  3. Select a predefined theme.

Themes apply across the entire report.


Sending or Scheduling a Report

To deliver a report:

  1. Click Send or Schedule.

  2. Choose immediate send or recurring schedule.

  3. Configure frequency, time, date range, and comparison range.

  4. Add recipients and optional message.

You can send a test email before finalizing.


Widget-Level Date Settings

When scheduling a report, you can control date behavior:

  • Enabled: Widgets keep their own date and comparison settings.

  • Disabled: All widgets follow the global report date range.

Use this when widgets require different time logic.


Common Issues and Fixes

Widgets show incorrect date ranges

  • Ensure Use Widget-Level Date Settings is enabled if widgets have custom dates.

Recipients not receiving emails

  • Verify email addresses and confirm the schedule is active.

Report not visible to team members

  • Check if Private Report is enabled.
