Dashboard: Payment Insights and Widgets

Payment widgets let you track revenue, subscriptions, invoices, refunds, and payment performance trends directly on Kyrios dashboards.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this when you want clear, visual insights into financial performance—such as revenue trends, subscription activity, payment success, and refunds—without exporting data to external tools.


Overview: Payment Widgets

Payment widgets provide pre-built visualizations for financial and billing-related metrics. These widgets update automatically as payment data changes and can be added to any dashboard to create a centralized financial overview.


Available Payment Widgets

Revenue and Trend Widgets

  • Total Revenue (Last Month) – Total revenue generated in the previous month.

  • Total Revenue Trend – Month-over-month total revenue trend.

  • One-Time Revenue Trend – Trend of one-time (non-recurring) payments.

  • Recurring Revenue Trend – Monthly recurring revenue trend.


Customer and Payment Performance

  • Paying Customer Trend – Trend showing changes in the number of paying customers.

  • Payment Success Trend – Trend of successful payments over time.

  • Payment Failed Trend – Trend of failed payments to help identify issues.


Revenue Breakdown and Subscriptions

  • Revenue by Channels – Revenue split by payment channel.

  • Subscription Creation Trend – New subscriptions created over time.

  • Subscription Cancellation Trend – Subscription cancellations over time.


Discounts, Invoices, and Refunds

  • Coupon Redemption Trend – Frequency of coupon usage.

  • Coupon Redemption Amount Trend – Total discount value from coupons.

  • Invoice Sent Trend – Number of invoices sent over time.

  • Invoice Paid Trend – Number of invoices paid over time.

  • Refund Trend – Count of refunds issued.

  • Refund Amount Trend – Total refund value over time.


Step 1: Open the Dashboard in Edit Mode

  1. Navigate to Dashboards.

  2. Open an existing dashboard.

  3. Click Edit Dashboard.


Step 2: Add a Payment Widget

  1. Click Add Widget.

  2. In the Widgets tab, scroll to or search for Payments.

  3. Expand the Payments section.

  4. Select the widget you want to add.


Step 3: Configure the Widget

  1. Enter or edit the Widget Title.

  2. Select the Metric (for example, Sum of Revenue).

  3. Choose a Date Property (such as Created On).

  4. Set a Date Range Override (for example, Last Month).

  5. (Optional) Configure Comparison Date Range.


Step 4: Choose Chart Type

  1. Select the chart type:

    • Number

    • Donut

    • Line

    • Bar

    • Table

  2. Only compatible chart types are selectable per widget.


Step 5: Save the Dashboard

  1. Click Save in the widget editor.

  2. Click Save Changes on the dashboard.

The widget will now update automatically as payment data changes.


Best Practices

  • Focus on Core KPIs: Prioritize recurring revenue, payment success, and subscription churn.

  • Group Related Widgets: Place revenue, subscriptions, and refunds together for clarity.

  • Review Regularly: Revisit widgets monthly to ensure they match current business goals.

  • Avoid Overcrowding: Split financial views across multiple dashboards if needed.


Common Issues and Fixes

Widget shows no data

  • Check the selected date range.

  • Confirm payment records exist for that period.

  • Verify the correct metric is selected.

Unexpected revenue numbers

  • Confirm one-time vs recurring metrics are not mixed.

  • Review applied filters and comparison ranges.

Payment widgets not visible

  • Ensure Payments features are enabled.

  • Refresh the dashboard editor.
