Mobile App: Creating Products, POS, and Tap to Pay

Create products, process Point-of-Sale (POS) transactions, and collect in-person payments using Tap to Pay directly from the Kyrios mobile app.

Who This Is For / When to Use

  • Accounts that need to sell products or services on the go.

  • Teams collecting in-person payments without external hardware.

  • Businesses using mobile POS, Tap to Pay, and service calendar payments.


Connect a Payment Gateway (Web)

A payment gateway must be connected before POS or Tap to Pay can be used.

  1. In the web app, go to Payments > Integrations.

  2. Choose a supported gateway (Stripe, NMI, or Authorize.net).

  3. Complete the connection and save.

Important: Tap to Pay requires Stripe and is available in the United States only.


Verify Business Country (Web)

Tap to Pay only works when the business country is set to the United States.

  1. Go to Settings > Business Profile.

  2. Confirm Country is set to United States.

  3. Save changes.


Access Point of Sale (Mobile)

  1. Open the Kyrios mobile app.

  2. Tap the $ (Payments) icon in the bottom navigation.

  3. Select Point of Sale.


Create or Edit Products (Mobile)

Products created on mobile sync automatically with the web app.

Open Products

  1. Tap the menu (☰) icon.

  2. Select Products.

Step 1: Add Basic Details

  • Item name

  • Description

  • Image

  • Taxes (optional)

Step 2: Add Pricing and Variants

  • Set base price

  • Create variants (size, color, type)

  • Assign pricing per variant

Step 3: Review and Create

  • Review all details

  • Tap Create Item


Start a POS Sale (Mobile)

Use Keypad or Catalog

  • Keypad: Enter a custom amount

  • Catalog: Add existing products

Review Sale

  1. Tap Review Sale.

  2. Confirm items and amount.


Review Payment Details

From the Review payment screen, you can:

  • Add a customer

  • Add discounts

  • Add payment schedules

  • Review taxes and totals


Choose a Payment Instrument

Select how the customer will pay.

Available options:

  • Tap to Pay

  • Cards

  • Cash

  • External payment record

  • Convert to invoice or estimate


Collect Payment with Tap to Pay

  1. Select Tap to Pay.

  2. Wait for the Tap to Pay screen to load.

  3. Ask the customer to tap their card or wallet.

Supported methods: Contactless cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay.


Payment Confirmation

Once successful, you will see:

  • Approved status

  • Business name

  • Transaction ID


View Active Transactions (Mobile)

All open, draft, and unpaid invoices are accessible from POS.

  1. Open POS.

  2. Tap Active Transactions.


View Appointment-Based Payments (Mobile)

POS integrates with service calendars for deposit and balance collection.

  1. Open Calendars.

  2. Select an appointment.

  3. Tap View Invoice or Record Payment.


View and Edit Invoices (Mobile)

From appointments or POS:

  • Open invoices

  • Review line items

  • Confirm balances


Payment Instruments (Non-Tap to Pay)

You can also record payments using:

  • Cash

  • Cards on file

  • Manual entry

  • External payment records

Common Issues and Fixes

Tap to Pay not showing

  • Confirm Stripe is connected.

  • Verify business country is United States.

  • Update the mobile app.

Payment fails

  • Ensure stable internet (Wi-Fi or cellular).

  • Retry Tap to Pay after reconnecting.

Products not appearing

  • Allow time for mobile ↔ web sync.

  • Refresh the Products list.

How do I create a product for POS?

Open the mobile app, go to Products, tap +, add item details, pricing, and variants, then save.

Can I charge a custom amount without a product?

Yes. Use the Keypad in POS to enter a custom amount and proceed to checkout.
