Point-of-Sale Taxes, Discounts, and Receipts on Mobile

Use the Kyrios mobile Point-of-Sale (POS) to apply product-based taxes, add discounts at checkout, complete payments, and automatically generate invoices and downloadable receipts.

  • Accounts processing in-person or manual sales using the Kyrios mobile app.

Enable Automatic Sales Receipts (Web)

Automatic receipts must be enabled to view and download receipts after POS payments.

  1. In the web app, go to Payments > Settings > Receipts.

  2. Toggle Enable automatic sales receipts for payments ON.

  3. Configure receipt title, prefix, and start number if needed.

  4. Save your changes.

Result: Every completed POS payment generates a digital receipt and invoice.


Create and Manage Taxes (Web)

Taxes must be created in the web app before they can be applied in mobile POS.

  1. Go to Payments > Settings > Taxes.

  2. Create one or more taxes (percentage-based).

  3. Save the tax configuration.

Result: Taxes become selectable when creating or editing products.


Create or Edit Products with Taxes (Web)

Taxes are linked at the product level.

  1. Go to Payments > Products.

  2. Select a product or click Create Product.

  3. Open Product Information.

  4. Use the Product Tax Code or tax selector to assign applicable taxes.

  5. Save the product.

Result: Whenever this product is added to a POS cart, its taxes apply automatically.


Open POS and Add Products (Mobile)

  1. Open the Kyrios mobile app.

  2. Tap the menu (☰) icon.

  3. Select Products.

  4. Tap a product to add it to the cart, or use + to create one.


Review Cart and Apply Discounts (Mobile)

  1. On the Review payment screen, review all added items.

  2. Tap Add Discount.

  3. Adjust the discount amount or percentage.

  4. Confirm the discount.

What happens:

  • Discounts apply to the transaction total.

  • Taxes recalculate automatically after discounts.


Review Taxes, Totals, and Charge the Customer

  1. Confirm:

    • Line items

    • Taxes

    • Discounts

    • Final amount

  2. Tap Choose Payment Instrument.

  3. Complete the payment using the selected method.


View POS Transactions (Mobile)

All POS payments are logged in the Transactions list.

  1. Open the mobile app.

  2. Go to Transactions.

  3. Select a transaction to view details.


View Transaction Details, Invoice, and Receipt

From a completed transaction, you can access full records.

  1. Open a transaction.

  2. View:

    • Transaction ID

    • Customer

    • Sale amount

  3. Tap View breakdown for tax and discount details.

  4. Tap Download Receipt to save or share the receipt.

  5. Use Issue Refund if required.


View and Share the Receipt (Mobile)

Receipts open as downloadable PDF files.

  • Receipts include:

    • Line items

    • Taxes

    • Discounts

    • Paid status

    • Receipt number


Recurring Invoices from POS (Mobile)

The mobile POS supports recurring invoices.

  • Create a POS transaction with recurring items.

  • Set or edit the billing frequency directly in the app.

  • Manage recurring charges without switching to desktop.


Common Issues and Fixes

Taxes are not applying at checkout

  • Ensure taxes are created in Payments > Settings > Taxes.

  • Confirm the tax is linked to the product.

Discount option not visible

  • Discounts are only available on the Review payment screen.

  • Ensure at least one item is added to the cart.

Receipt not available after payment

  • Confirm Enable automatic sales receipts for payments is turned ON in web settings.

How do I create taxes for POS transactions?
