Who This Is For / When to Use
Use this trigger if your account collects prospects through the Prospecting Tool or embedded widgets and you want automation to run immediately when a prospect is generated.
What the Prospect Generated Trigger Does
The Prospect Generated trigger fires each time a new prospect is created in the account.
Supported sources include:
In-App (manually created prospects)
Widget (prospects created via embedded widgets)
When triggered, the prospect enters the workflow and proceeds through the actions you configure.
How to Add the Prospect Generated Trigger
Step 1: Create a New Workflow
Go to Automations > Workflows.
Click Create Workflow.
Select Start from Scratch.
Step 2: Add the Trigger
Click Add New Trigger.
Search for and select Prospect Generated.
Step 3: Configure Trigger Filters
Filters control which prospects enter the workflow.
Available filters include:
Prospect Source (In-App or Widget)
Prospect Conversion Score
Conversion score operators include:
Equals to
Greater than / Greater than or equal to
Between
Is empty / Is not empty
Use conversion score filters to prioritize high-intent prospects.
Step 4: Save the Trigger
Review the trigger name and filters.
Click Save Trigger.
What Happens After the Trigger Fires
Once triggered, the workflow can perform any supported action, including:
Send email or SMS
Create contact automatically
Assign tags
Send internal notifications
Export prospect data
Update contact or prospect fields
The workflow runs automatically once it is published and active.

How: Use a Conversion Score greater than filter.

How: Add a Create Contact action after the trigger.

How: Filter by Prospect Source and route prospects into separate workflows.
Common Issues and Fixes
Workflow Does Not Trigger
Cause: Workflow is not published.
Fix: Save and publish the workflow.
Too Many Prospects Enter the Workflow
Cause: No filters applied.
Fix: Add source or conversion score filters.
Low-Quality Leads Trigger the Workflow
Cause: Conversion score filter not configured.
Fix: Use Greater than or Between operators to limit execution.
