Updated over 3 months ago

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this when you want your Google Ads to display a business address, map pin, or location details using location extensions.

What This Connection Enables

Linking Google Ads with a Google Business Profile allows:

  • Location extensions in ads

  • Map pins in search and display ads

  • Address and business details pulled directly from Google

Kyrios uses this connection when running or managing Google Ads through the platform.

Step 1: Sign In to Google Ads

  1. Go to Google Ads.

  2. Sign in using the Google account that owns or manages the Google Ads account.

You must have admin or standard access to proceed.

Step 2: Sign In to Google Business Profile

  1. Open a new browser tab.

  2. Go to Google Business Profile.

  3. Sign in using the Google account that manages the business location.

The business location must already be verified in Google.

Step 3: Open Linked Accounts in Google Ads

  1. Return to Google Ads.

  2. Click the Tools and Settings icon (wrench) in the top-right corner.

  3. Under Setup, click Linked accounts.

Step 4: Link Google Business Profile

  1. In the Linked accounts list, find Google Business Profile.

  2. Click Details.

  3. Click the blue Link button.

  4. Select the Google Business Profile account you want to connect.

  5. Click Next to continue.

You may be prompted to sign in again to confirm permissions.

Step 5: Confirm the Link

  1. Complete the confirmation steps.

  2. Return to Linked accounts in Google Ads.

  3. Confirm the status shows Active for Google Business Profile.

This confirms the connection is complete.

Step 6: Enable Location Extensions (Optional but Recommended)

In Google Ads:

  1. Open the campaign you want to use location extensions with.

  2. Go to Ads & assets.

  3. Click the + button.

  4. Select Location extension.

  5. Choose the linked Google Business Profile.

  6. Save your changes.

Your ads will now display business location details where eligible.

Common Issues and Fixes

Location Extensions Not Appearing

  • Confirm the Google Business Profile is verified.

  • Confirm the link status is Active.

  • Allow up to 24 hours for changes to propagate.

Cannot Link Accounts

  • Ensure you have admin permissions on both:

    • Google Ads account

    • Google Business Profile

  • Confirm both accounts use compatible Google logins.

Wrong Business Location Showing

  • Check location details inside Google Business Profile.

  • Confirm the correct location was selected during linking.

Important Notes

  • Google controls all permissions and approvals.

  • Kyrios reads location data directly from Google once linked.

  • Updates made in Google Business Profile may take time to reflect in ads.
