This feature is for users who need to send the same WhatsApp message to many contacts at the same time, such as promotions, updates, reminders, or urgent announcements.
How to Send a WhatsApp Bulk Message
Step 1: Open the Contacts List
Navigate to Contacts from the left-hand menu.
Select one or more contacts using the checkboxes.
To include all contacts, click Select All.
Step 2: Open the Bulk WhatsApp Action
After selecting contacts, click More in the top action bar.
Select Send WhatsApp.
Step 3: Configure the WhatsApp Message
Select the WhatsApp Phone Number used to send messages.
Select a WhatsApp Template (Meta-approved templates only).
Review the message preview.
Enter an Action Name (required) to track this bulk action.
Step 4: Optional – Enable Fallback to SMS
Toggle Fallback to SMS if you want messages sent via SMS when WhatsApp delivery fails.
Select the SMS sending number.
Fallback to SMS ensures delivery when:
A contact is not reachable on WhatsApp
Meta messaging restrictions block WhatsApp delivery
Step 5: Confirm and Send
Review all selections.
Click Confirm to start the bulk action.
A confirmation message appears indicating the action is in progress.
Monitor WhatsApp Bulk Action Progress
View Progress Immediately
Click Check Progress from the confirmation message.
View Progress Later
Navigate to Contacts > Bulk Actions.
Locate the action by name.
Review the status and click Show Stats.
You can see:
Total contacts
Processed messages
Errors
Skipped contacts
Messaging Limits and Validation
Meta Messaging Limit Warning
If your WhatsApp number exceeds the allowed 24-hour messaging limit, an error is displayed and remaining messages will not be sent.
Important details:
Messaging limits apply per WhatsApp number
Limits are based on a rolling 24-hour window
Limits are enforced by Meta
Important Notes
Only Meta-approved templates can be used for bulk WhatsApp messages.
Bulk actions are processed over time, not instantly.
Once started, bulk actions cannot be edited or canceled.
If limits are breached mid-process, affected contacts will show errors.
Common Issues and Fixes
Cannot send bulk WhatsApp messages
Ensure contacts are selected.
Ensure a Meta-approved template is selected.
Check current Meta messaging limits.
Messages show errors or skipped status
Messaging limits may have been exceeded.
Some contacts may not be reachable on WhatsApp.
Enable Fallback to SMS to avoid missed messages.
Action is taking longer than expected
Large contact lists take longer to process.
Check progress in Contacts > Bulk Actions.
