Who This Is For / When to Use
Use Featured Posts if you are a Community Owner or Admin and need to highlight announcements, resources, or time-sensitive updates so members see them first.
What Are Featured Posts
Featured Posts (also called Pinned Posts) are posts marked to stay visible at the top of a Community channel and the Home timeline until they are manually unpinned.
Only Admins and Owners can feature or unfeature posts.
How to Feature (Pin) a Post
Navigate to the Community and channel containing the post.
Locate the post you want to feature.
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the post.
Select Pin.
Result:
The post is now marked as Featured and moved to the top of the channel and Home feed.
Where Featured Posts Appear
Channel View
When a post is featured in a channel, it appears at the very top of that channel’s feed, above all other posts.
This ensures every member sees it first when opening the channel.
Home Feed
Featured posts also appear at the top of the Home feed, giving global visibility even if members do not open the specific channel.
How to Unfeature (Unpin) a Post
Find the featured post.
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the post.
Select Unpin.
Result:
The post is removed from the Featured section and returns to its original position in the feed.
Common Issues and Fixes
I don’t see the Pin or Unpin option
You must be a Community Admin or Owner.
Regular members cannot feature posts.
The post disappeared after unpinning
Unpinning does not delete the post.
Scroll down the channel feed or use sorting to locate it.
Multiple featured posts are showing
Communities can display more than one featured post.
Posts appear in the order they were pinned.
