Communities: Voice Notes in Posts and Comments

Community members can record voice notes or attach audio files to posts and comments, then play the audio directly from the Community feed.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use voice notes when you want to communicate in a Community without typing a longer message.

Voice notes and audio attachments can be used for:

  • Community posts

  • Comments on posts

  • Updates and announcements

  • Feedback or responses

  • Other discussions where audio is easier than text

Voice notes are currently available on the web. Mobile app support is not currently available.

Voice Notes vs. Uploaded Audio

A voice note is audio recorded directly from the Community post or comment composer. An uploaded audio file is an existing audio file selected from the user's device and attached to a post.

Both can be played directly inside the Community feed.

Multiple uploaded audio files can be attached to a single post.

Current Availability and Limitations

Voice notes are currently supported on the Kyrios web experience. Voice notes can be used in both posts and comments. Multiple audio files can be attached to one post. Playback supports 1x, 1.5x, and 2x speeds.

Mobile app support is planned but is not currently available.
