Bulk Actions for Campaigns and Workflows

Bulk Actions allow Kyrios users to add multiple contacts to workflows or campaigns at once, either immediately, at a scheduled time, or gradually using drip mode.

Updated over 3 months ago

Who this is for / When to use

This article is for Kyrios users who need to trigger workflows or campaigns for many contacts at the same time, such as backfilling automations, onboarding imported contacts, or running one-time campaigns.

Use this feature when contacts should enter an automation outside of its normal trigger conditions.

What Bulk Actions do

Bulk Actions perform one-time actions on selected contacts or entire contact lists. When used with workflows or campaigns, Bulk Actions manually enroll contacts without changing the workflow’s trigger logic.

Bulk Actions do not permanently link contacts to a workflow trigger; they simply add them once based on the selected settings.

Step 1: Select contacts from the Contacts list

Contacts must be selected before a Bulk Action can be applied.

  1. Navigate to Contacts.

  2. Use the checkbox next to each contact to select individual records.

  3. Use the checkbox in the table header to select all contacts on the page.

  4. Click Select All to include every contact in Kyrios.

Step 2: Open the Trigger Automation bulk action

The Trigger Automation option launches the Bulk Action configuration panel.

  1. With contacts selected, click Trigger Automation in the top action bar.

Step 3: Configure the automation details

This step defines which workflow or campaign runs and how it is delivered.

  1. Enter an Action Name for tracking and reporting.

  2. Set Automation Type to Workflow or Campaign.

  3. Select the target workflow or campaign from the dropdown.

Step 4: Choose how the automation is sent

Bulk Actions support three delivery modes.

Send All at Once

Processes all selected contacts immediately.

Send at Scheduled Time

Processes all selected contacts at a single future date and time.

Send in Drip Mode

Processes contacts in batches over time to control volume.

How Drip Mode works

Drip Mode sends contacts in controlled batches until all selected contacts are processed.

  • Number of Messages per Batch defines how many contacts are processed at a time.

  • Repeat After defines the interval between batches.

Example:

  • 780 contacts selected

  • 100 contacts per batch

  • Repeat every 5 hours

Result:

  • 7 batches of 100 contacts

  • 1 batch of 80 contacts

The process continues automatically until all contacts are added.

Step 5: Run the Bulk Action

Once settings are confirmed, the action can be executed.

  1. Review all selections.

  2. Click Add to Automation.

  3. Monitor progress from the Bulk Actions tracking page.

Common issues and fixes

Automation does not start

Cause: Workflow or campaign is inactive. Fix: Ensure the selected automation is published or active.

Wrong contacts were added

Cause: All contacts were selected unintentionally. Fix: Review contact selection carefully before confirming the Bulk Action.

Drip Mode runs slower than expected

Cause: Batch size or repeat interval is too small. Fix: Increase the number of contacts per batch or shorten the repeat interval.
