Who This Is For / When to Use

This article is for users who previously built automations using Campaigns and want to move those sequences into Workflows for more control and flexibility.

Use this process when an existing Campaign should be upgraded, edited, or extended using Workflow-only features.

What Happens When You Import a Campaign

Importing a Campaign creates a new Workflow that mirrors the campaign’s existing steps. The imported workflow can then be edited, expanded, and published independently of the original campaign.

The original Campaign is not deleted or modified during this process.

Step 1: Start a New Workflow and Choose Import from Campaign

A workflow must be created before a campaign can be imported.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Automation → Workflows

  2. Click + Create Workflow

  3. From the dropdown menu, select Import from a campaign

Step 2: Select the Campaign to Import

Kyrios prompts you to choose which existing campaign should be converted into a workflow.

Steps:

  1. In the import modal, open the Pick a campaign dropdown

  2. Select the campaign you want to import

  3. Click Import

This creates a new workflow based on the selected campaign.

Step 3: Review the Imported Workflow in the Builder

After the import completes, Kyrios opens the Workflow Builder with the imported steps already placed on the canvas.

At this stage, the workflow is created in Draft status.

Step 4: Customize the Imported Workflow

Imported workflows can be fully customized using Workflow features.

Common customizations include:

  • Updating or replacing triggers

  • Adding wait steps or conditional paths

  • Editing message content (email, SMS, voicemail, calls)

  • Adding new actions not available in Campaigns

All changes apply only to the new workflow.

Step 5: Save and Publish the Workflow

A workflow must be published before it can run.

Steps:

  1. Click Save to store changes

  2. Toggle the status to Publish

Once published, contacts can begin enrolling based on the workflow’s trigger conditions.

Common Issues and Fixes

Imported workflow does not run

Cause: Workflow is still in Draft status.

Fix: Publish the workflow after completing edits.

Imported steps do not behave as expected

Cause: Campaign timing does not always translate directly into workflow triggers or waits.

Fix: Review each wait step and trigger condition and adjust as needed.
