Configure Payment Providers by Channel

Configure payment providers by channel to control which connected provider is used for payments from funnels, forms, stores, invoices, calendars, and other payment channels.

What Channel Provider Configuration Does

Channel provider configuration lets you choose preferred payment providers for specific payment channels. If a channel has a provider selected, Kyrios uses that provider for payments from that channel. If no provider is selected for a channel, Kyrios uses the global default payment provider.

Supported Channels

You can configure payment providers for these channels:

  • Funnels - one-step order forms

  • Funnels - two-step order forms

  • Forms

  • Stores

  • Calendars

  • Invoices

  • Invoice auto payment

  • Payment links

  • Courses

  • Communities

  • Surveys

Live Mode and Test Mode

Provider configurations are separated between Live and Test mode. Use Live mode for real customer transactions. Use Test mode to test checkout flows without processing real payments. Each mode can have different provider settings.

How Provider Selection Works

Channel-level provider settings override the global default provider. Only connected providers are available to select. You can use PayPal plus one additional provider for a channel. You cannot use multiple non-PayPal providers together on the same channel. For example, PayPal + Stripe is supported. Stripe + NMI is not supported.

How to Open Payment Provider Configuration

  1. Click Payments in the left navigation menu.

2. Click Integrations in the top Payments menu.

3. Click Configure providers.

How to Configure Providers by Channel

  1. Open Payments > Integrations > Configure providers.

  2. Choose Live or Test mode.

  3. Find the channel you want to update.

  4. Click the + icon next to the channel.

  5. Select an available connected provider from the dropdown.

  6. Save or confirm the change if prompted.

How to Add a Provider

Click the + icon next to a channel and choose a connected provider from the dropdown. The dropdown only shows providers already connected to the account.

You can add PayPal as one additional provider.

How to Remove a Provider

Click the X next to the provider you want to remove. Kyrios may ask you to confirm the removal before applying the change.

Reset Provider Confirmation

When you confirm provider removal, the custom channel configuration is removed. The channel returns to the global default payment provider if no channel-specific provider remains.

Common Issues and Fixes

A provider is not available in the dropdown

Confirm the provider is connected in Payments > Integrations. Only connected providers appear in the channel provider dropdown.

A channel is using the default provider instead of my preferred provider

Confirm that a provider is selected for that specific channel. If no channel-level provider is selected, Kyrios uses the global default provider.

I cannot add two non-PayPal providers to the same channel

This is expected. Kyrios supports PayPal plus one additional provider, but not multiple non-PayPal providers together.

Payments still appear after removing a provider from a channel

If all providers are removed from a channel, Kyrios falls back to the global default provider.

FAQ

What happens if a preferred provider is disconnected?

If a channel-level provider is disconnected, Kyrios falls back to the global default provider. If the provider is reconnected later, you need to select it again for the channel.

Can I configure providers per store, funnel, or individual asset?

No. Provider configuration is currently available at the channel level.

Can I remove all providers from a channel to disable payments?

No. If all channel-level providers are removed, Kyrios uses the global default provider.

How many payment providers can I use on a checkout?

You can use PayPal plus one additional provider. Multiple non-PayPal providers together are not supported.

How does the default provider affect channel configuration?

The default provider is the fallback. A channel-level provider overrides the default provider.

What payment options will customers see at checkout?

Customers see the providers configured for that channel. If PayPal and another provider are configured, both options can appear.
