What the Download File Action Does
The Download File action turns a button, image, or SVG into a direct file download trigger. When a visitor clicks the element, Kyrios delivers the selected file without requiring a redirect, external file-sharing link, or custom code. The file must be selected from Media Storage or uploaded through the file picker during setup.
Supported Elements
The Download File action can be added to these elements:
Buttons
Images
SVGs
Each element can trigger one downloadable file.
Supported File Types
The Download File action supports files that can be uploaded or selected through Kyrios Media Storage. Common examples include:
PDF files
PNG, JPG, SVG, and other image files
MP4 and other video files
MP3 and other audio files
DOCX, XLSX, and other document files
ZIP files
Use a ZIP file when you need one button, image, or SVG to deliver multiple assets.
Requirements and Limits
Each button, image, or SVG can only be connected to one downloadable file. The downloadable file must be selected from Kyrios Media Storage or uploaded through the media picker. Standard Media Storage file upload limits apply. For Google Drive files, import the file into Media Storage before selecting it for the Download File action.
How to Set Up the Download File Action
Follow these steps to add a downloadable file to a button, image, or SVG.
Step 1: Open the Website or Funnel Builder
Click Sites in the left navigation menu.
Open either the Funnels tab or the Websites tab.
Select the funnel step or website page you want to edit.
Click Edit to open the builder.
Step 2: Select the Element
Click the button, image, or SVG that should trigger the download. The element settings open in the right-side settings panel.
Step 3: Choose Download File as the Action
For a button, open Button Actions. In the Link To dropdown, select Download File.
For an image, use the image action setting and select Download File. For an SVG, use the SVG action setting and select Download File.
Step 4: Select the File and Set the Download Name
Click Select a file to choose a file from Media Storage or upload a new file. Use the File name field to set the name visitors will see when downloading the file. Use a clear file name, such as Brand_Checklist.pdf or Pricing_Guide.zip.
Best Practices

Download Pricing Guide
Get the Checklist
Download ZIP File
Use final, approved file versions before connecting them to a page element. Do not delete or replace the file in Media Storage unless you plan to update the download action. Compress large files when possible to improve download speed.
Common Issues and Fixes
Nothing happens when the visitor clicks the element
Confirm that the element action is set to Download File. Confirm that a file has been selected. Save and publish the page after making changes.
The file does not download correctly
Confirm the file still exists in Media Storage. Re-select the file in the builder if the original file was moved, replaced, or deleted.
The file is too large or downloads slowly
Compress the file before uploading it. For multiple files, combine them into one ZIP file.
Google Drive files are not selectable
Import the Google Drive file into Media Storage first. After the file is stored in Media Storage, select it in the Download File action.
