What the Generate Marketing Audit Report Action Does

The Generate Marketing Audit Report action creates a marketing audit report for a prospect inside a workflow. After the action runs, Kyrios creates report-related custom values that can be used in later workflow steps. These values can be inserted into emails or SMS messages to personalize outreach and send each prospect their own report link.


What Changed

Previously, Marketing Audit Reports could only be generated for leads created through the Prospecting Tool. Now, the Generate Marketing Audit Report is available as a workflow action. This means you can trigger a Marketing Audit Report for contacts created from any supported lead source.


What the Marketing Audit Report Includes

When triggered, the Marketing Audit Report can analyze:

  • Website performance and technical health

  • Google Business Profile setup and configuration

  • Local search rankings

  • Heatmaps and top Google Business Profile competitors

  • Online reviews and reputation

  • Listings and business presence accuracy

The completed audit attaches to the contact record for review.


Open the Workflow Builder

  1. Go to Automation.

  2. Select Workflows.

  3. Open an existing workflow or click Create Workflow.

Add the Generate Marketing Audit Report Action

Add the Generate Marketing Audit Report action before any email or SMS step that needs the audit report link.

  1. Open the workflow.

  2. Add or confirm a workflow trigger.

  3. Click + Add Action.

  4. Search for Generate Marketing Audit Report.

  5. Select Generate Marketing Audit Report.

Configure the Generate Marketing Audit Report Action

The action needs business information from the contact record to generate the report.

Required or recommended fields may include:

  • Business Name

  • Address

  • City

  • State

  • Zipcode / Postal Code

  • Country / Country Code

Use contact fields when possible, such as:

  • {{contact.company_name}}

  • {{contact.full_address}}

  • {{contact.city}}

  • {{contact.state}}

  • {{contact.postal_code}}

  • {{contact.country}}

Save the action after the fields are mapped.

Add a Follow-Up Email or SMS Step

After the audit report action, add a communication step.

Use one of these actions:

  • Send Email

  • Send SMS

The audit report action must run before the message step. This makes the generated report values available inside the email or SMS editor.

Insert Audit Report Custom Values

Use custom values to insert the generated report information into your message.

Available custom values include:

  • Prospect Business Name

  • Prospect Web Report Link

Insert these values from the custom values menu inside the email or SMS editor.

The Prospect Web Report Link should be used when you want to send each prospect their own unique report link.

Recommended Workflow Order

Use this order so the report data is available before the message is sent:

  1. Trigger: Contact Created, Form Submitted, or another lead source

  2. Action: Generate Marketing Audit Report

  3. Action: Send Email or Send SMS

  4. Optional: Add wait steps, reminders, tags, pipeline updates, or internal notifications

  5. Publish the workflow


What Happens After the Audit Runs

After the workflow action runs:

  • Kyrios generates the audit report.

  • The report attaches to the contact record.

  • Report custom values become available for later workflow steps.

  • The report link can be sent through email or SMS.

  • Additional automation can run based on the workflow design.

You can add follow-up logic such as:

  • Add a tag

  • Notify the sales team

  • Route the lead to a pipeline

  • Trigger reminder messages

  • Start a follow-up sequence


Common Issues and Fixes

The Generate Marketing Audit Report action is not visible

Cause: Prospecting is not enabled for the account.

Fix: Enable Prospecting from the Agency Dashboard under the Reselling tab.

The report link is not appearing in the email

Cause: The Send Email or Send SMS action may be placed before the Generate Marketing Audit Report action.

Fix: Place the Generate Marketing Audit Report before the email or SMS step.

Custom values are not available

Cause: The audit report action may not have been saved yet.

Fix: Save the Generate Marketing Audit Report action, then reopen the email or SMS editor and check the custom values menu again.

The same report link is sent to every prospect

Cause: A static report URL may have been pasted into the message.

Fix: Use the Prospect Web Report Link custom value instead of a static URL.

The audit did not generate

Cause: Required business data may be missing from the contact record.

Fix: Confirm the contact has the business name and location details needed to generate the audit.

The workflow does not send the report

Cause: The workflow may still be in Draft mode or the trigger condition may not be met.

Fix: Publish the workflow and confirm the trigger is firing correctly.

Can I run the audit for leads not created through Prospecting?

Yes. The Generate Marketing Audit Report workflow action can run for leads from supported sources outside the Prospecting Tool.

Does this replace the Prospecting Tool audit process?

No. The Prospecting Tool still works as before. This action expands audit generation into Workflows.

When are the audit report custom values populated?
