An active WhatsApp subscription on the account
Meta Business verification completed
WhatsApp number approved and connected
Accessing WhatsApp Templates
Go to Settings > WhatsApp.
Open the Templates tab.
View existing templates, folders, and statuses.
Creating a New WhatsApp Template
Step 1: Start Template Creation
In Settings > WhatsApp > Templates, click Create Template.
Step 2: Configure Template Basics
Fill in the required fields:
Template Name: Lowercase letters and underscores only
Category: Marketing or Utility
Language: Select the message language
Adding a Header (Optional)
Headers can be text or media.

Location Header Requirements
When using a location header, all fields are required:
Latitude
Longitude
Location name
Location address
Adding Body Content
The body is the main message sent to the contact.
Supports multiple variables
Sample values are required for every variable

How to Add Variables
Click Add Variable in the header or body.
Select a variable type (Contact, Message, Service Booking, etc.).
Enter a sample value.

Service booking variables allow dynamic appointment details.
Footer (Optional)
Add a short static footer, such as business information or compliance text.

Maximum of two CTA buttons per template
Trigger Link buttons count toward this limit
Using Trigger Links
Trigger links track clicks and trigger workflows.
Creating a Trigger Link
Go to Marketing > Trigger Links.
Click Add Link.
Enter a name and URL.
Adding Trigger Links to Templates
Trigger links can be used:
Inside the message body
Inside CTA buttons
Trigger Link Analytics
Track clicks and engagement under Marketing > Trigger Links > Analyze.
Submitting a Template for Approval
Review the preview panel.
Click Create.
Kyrios submits the template to Meta automatically.
Template Statuses
Pending: Submitted to Meta
Approved: Ready to send
Rejected: Requires edits and resubmission

Edit template
Clone template
Delete template
Move template to folder
Converting Marketing Templates to Utility Templates (AI)
Starting April 1, 2025, marketing templates cannot be sent to U.S. numbers.

How many variables can I add?
One custom variable is allowed in the header. Multiple variables are allowed in the body, each with a sample value.
Can I include media in templates?
Yes. Images, videos (under 16 MB), documents, and location headers are supported.
How long does Meta approval take?
Approval typically takes a few minutes to up to 24 hours.
Are WhatsApp marketing templates allowed in the U.S.?
No. Starting April 1, 2025, marketing templates are paused for U.S. numbers. Utility and authentication templates are still allowed.
Can I track clicks from WhatsApp templates?
Yes. Use Trigger Links to track clicks and trigger workflows.
