Updated over 2 months ago

Overview

Category Queues allow you to assign posts to a category and publish them automatically based on predefined days and times.

You can create queues for:

  • Promotions

  • Tips

  • Blog posts

  • Announcements

  • Any custom category you define

Accessing Category Queues

Category Queues can be accessed from two locations in the Social Planner.

You can open Category Queues from:

  • Content tab β†’ Category Queue, or

  • New Post β†’ Category Queue

Prepare Your Content (Required)

Before creating a Category Queue, ensure your posts are assigned to a social category.

Posts without a category cannot be added to a queue.

Select or Create a Category

When creating a queue, select an existing category or create a new one.

To create a new category:

Categories define which posts are included in the queue.

Configure Queue Preferences

Each Category Queue includes preference settings that control how posts are added.

Available options:

  • Enable Future Posts Queuing: Automatically adds new posts created in this category to the queue

  • Prioritize New Content: Adds new posts to the top of the queue instead of the end

Changes apply to future queue cycles only.

Set a Posting Schedule

Choose the days and times when posts in this category should be published.

You can:

  • Select specific days of the week

  • Assign one or multiple time slots per day

  • Adjust schedules based on audience activity

Review and Edit the Queue

After setting the schedule, review the posts included in the queue.

From the queue editor, you can:

  • Reorder posts

  • Edit post content

  • Add new posts to the queue

To reuse content, you can clone an existing post.

Add a Post to an Existing Queue

Posts can be added to a Category Queue during creation or editing.

Use Add to Queue when posting to assign the post to an existing category queue.

Resolve Queue Errors

If required information is missing, Kyrios will prevent the queue from being saved.

Common causes include:

  • No active social account selected

  • Missing post content

  • Invalid platform configuration

All errors must be resolved before saving.

Activate, Pause, or Delete a Queue

All Category Queues are listed in the Category Queue dashboard.

From this view, you can:

  • Toggle a queue Active or Paused

  • Delete queues that are no longer needed

  • View post counts and posting frequency

Pausing a queue preserves its position.

Category Queue Dashboard Overview

The Category Queue dashboard provides a complete overview of all queues.

You can see:

  • Category name

  • Number of posts

  • Posts per week

  • Status (Draft or Active)

  • Creation date
