What Google Postmaster Tools Provides in Kyrios

Google Postmaster Tools data helps you understand how Gmail evaluates your sending behavior.

Before connecting Google Postmaster Tools to Kyrios:

  • Your sending domain must already be added and verified in Google Postmaster Tools.

  • SPF, DKIM, and DMARC must be correctly configured for the domain.

  • You must have Google account access to the Postmaster Tools property.

Understanding Key Metrics

Domain Reputation

Shows how Gmail evaluates your sending domain overall.

  • High: Strong sender trust and inbox placement.

  • Medium/Low: Reduced trust; may impact inboxing.

  • Bad: High risk of spam filtering or blocking.

IP Reputation

Evaluates the reputation of the sending IPs associated with your domain.

Low IP reputation often indicates poor list hygiene or spam complaints.

User-Reported Spam

Shows how often Gmail users mark your emails as spam.

High values indicate content, targeting, or consent issues.

Authenticated Traffic

Confirms whether Gmail successfully authenticated messages using SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

Unauthenticated traffic can cause delivery failures.

Delivery Errors

Highlights technical issues preventing delivery, including:

  • Temporary rate limiting

  • Policy blocks

  • Authentication failures

Common Issues and Fixes

Domain Reputation Is Low or Bad

  • Reduce sending volume temporarily.

  • Remove unengaged or inactive recipients.

  • Ensure all sends are permission-based.

High Spam Rates

  • Review subject lines and message content.

  • Avoid misleading copy or aggressive CTAs.

  • Confirm users explicitly opted in.

Delivery Errors Spiking

  • Verify SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.

  • Check for recent sending volume spikes.

  • Review Gmail-specific throttling behavior.

Google Postmaster Data Notice

Google is transitioning its Postmaster Tools infrastructure. Some metrics may appear delayed or slightly different from Google’s native interface. Kyrios is preparing for Google’s updated API, expected in late 2025.

FAQ

How do I know if my domain reputation is good?

A High domain reputation in the Domain Reputation tab indicates strong Gmail trust and better inbox placement.

How long does it take for data to appear?

After domain verification, Google typically begins showing data within a few days.

Can I monitor multiple domains?

Yes. Each sending domain must be verified individually in Google Postmaster Tools and will appear separately in Kyrios.

What usually causes delivery errors?

Most delivery errors are caused by authentication problems, IP reputation issues, blacklist listings, or Gmail rate limiting during high-volume sends.

Does Kyrios change my email reputation?

No. Kyrios only displays Google Postmaster Tools data. Your reputation is determined entirely by your sending behavior and Gmail recipient engagement.
